Clippers Hornets deal submitted to league?

They are giving up alot but with them signing Deandre jordan at 10mil per, with BG going to get max money and CP3 already making max money and caron Butler getting 8, how were they going to be able to pay Eric Gordon? If they get Chris Paul, it is still a win. Not saying caron and deandre were great deals but they are now the cards they have.

They are now a thin team and will need to build depth.

i dont think this is so good for the Clippers...i figured it would just be Kaman, Aminu, Bledsoe and the pick, but throwing in Eric Gordon is too much IMO

Also, the Clippers were fighting to keep Bledsoe?? Why?? They will have Paul, Williams, and Bledsoe now.. Do they decided to trade Williams now to try to get a SG??

Clippers could have had Kyrie Irving if they didn't trade that pick last year and then probably wouldn't need Paul. Now they're going to trade another pick and possible lost out on Drummond/Davis. Makes no sense.

Trading Gordon is just a bad idea....dude is a stud.....guess we'll see if Clippers have anything else up their sleeves?

^^Agreed... I think the Clippers saw the LA/Houston deal and figured they would need to go balls to the wall to get him and that's what they did. That said I believe they shouldn't have given up so much. I guess I'm just not much of a CP3 fan..

The Hornets have NO leverage. You don't pay full price for something that will go on sale next week, PLUS there aren't even too many buyers. This is dumb.

The Clippers overpay Caron Butler... Then they match a RIDICULOUS offer for Jordan. Now, they give up Kaman, Aminu, Gordon AND Minny's 2012 pick for Paul, who's going to walk away at the end of the season anyway. The Hornets are asking for Bledsoe too.

There is NOBODY else that can trade for him nor he wants to play for at this point... Why not just wait and go after him as a free-agent?

Can you imagine if the hornets not only get gordon but possibly get a high lottery pick and come away with Drummond, Davis, Barnes or Miller? Good holy hell, I seriously thought the Hornets were making a killing off the previous lakers deal, if the league blocks this trade due to the fact that bledsoe isn't included they are more delusional than i thought.

According to Chris Broussard and his "sources" the only reason Eric Gordon hasn't been publicly included in the trade is because LAC doesn't want another Lamar Odom situation and they want to extend Gordon immediately if trade doesn't go through.

I've been talking to Eric Gordon Sr and based on how he feels, damage is done. LAC have been telling Gordon that he was a building block of the franchise with Griffin and to ignore the trade rumors. They've been working on getting him extended since the lockout ended. There are definitely some bruised feelings right now and a lack of trust.

Gordon does NOT want to play for Hornets and will definitely not be open to extending with them. However, he is preparing to be traded.

Imagine Gordon as a FA.. Everyone who signed a decent SG this year would be kicking themselves when he would be on the market.

I think this deal looks like rape on the surface but u can't put a price tag on what CP3 brings to a team, if the Clippers get him they are not only a surefire playoffs team but have the potential to finish top 5 in the West, Gordon and every pick in next years draft wouldnt guarantee that. But i really loved the idea of Gordon and Griffin growing together and becoming and illegaly athletic inside/outside threat.

CP3 is a great point guard, but the Hornets are requesting:

Bledsoe

Aminu

Minny's 2012 pick

Additional future first round pick

All of this for a player who's going to walk away at the end of the season and really has no more options, except for the Clippers. Why would you give up this much? It's not good business.

Gordon plus Minny's pick in 2012, along with Kaman and Aminu for Cp3...Thats the Offer, If the Clippers want Paul, they gotta give it All...

The Clippers are getting screwed in this deal and probally couldnt trade Bledsoe because he wouldn't pass the physical...Paul-Butler-Griifen and Jordan...I ask how is that a Contender??? Maybe they sign Nick Young to play Sg, or draft Brad Beal somehow to replace Gordon next year...A vet Sg makes sense right now...

Stern should block this deal because it's unfair for the Clippers.

David Aldridge just reported they have to choose between gordon and wolves pick. I really hope they take the pick but I doubt it

They should take the pick so that the next owner will be able to get his own player rather than the player Stern wants

If Bledsoe becomes a deal breaker for The Hornets/Stern I'm going to flip the Fudge Out...The Hornets are getting a great deal wheiter Bledsoe is included or Not...I want this deal to go throw because It honestly won't make the Clippers much better then the Hornets at their Peak with a younger Chris Paul...To be clear again ...the Clippers are not going to walk away with Chris Paul without giving up both Gordon and The Minnesota 1st round pick, that is a fore gone conclusion...Kaman and Aminu are there to provide The Hornets extra bodies and to match salaries...Demps and Stern also Eric Blesoe, so lets see how it all turns out...

With this deal the Hornets would be in a very nice position come draft Time...2 good picks in a loaded draft, with Gordon,Aminu and Bledsoe in the fray already, If Ariza isn't moved with Paul or later on this week/season they'll have a decent lineup

According to reports, Clippers are about to pull out of the deal because league asking for too much. And league is also considering pulling out of negotiations.

Stern is asking for WAY to much....it's so ridiculous...I'm surprised the deal hasn't been taken off the table honestly

You would think this guy would quit barganing after he lost half a season of basketball. If they don't take this trade even without the draft pick for that matter they are damned idiots...
