Nicest players ive ever met: Michael Jordan, J.R. Smith, Kobe bryant, Lamar Odom, Paul Pierce, Dwayne Wade, Shaq, Antoine Walker, I met the Birdman and he talked to me for about 15 mins and said he was hungry so i got to go have lunch with him!
'Jerks: dj mbenga, vujacic, suprisingly chauncey billups, and especially Phil Jackson!
JR Smith is way cool, Bill Walton, Michael Cage, AC Green, Marcus Banks, Gerald Wallace, Lopez Twins, Austin Daye, Mike Woodson, Acie Law IV, Courtney Alexander, Brian Scalabrini, ALL COOL. but Muggsey Bogues, Todd Fuller, and Rick Barry are real A-Holes. I know Babbit and Armon Johnson and theyre both cool as well
That's quite a list!
Coolest players I've met:
Greg Oden - Humble dude and speaks to everybody
Eric Gordon - Shy and low key, but real coo
George Hill - Super coo and talkative dude
Rondey Carney - Funny
Zach Randolph - Probably THE most coo dude I've ever met by FAR.
Jonathan Bender - Shy, but really coo too
Courtney Lee - He acts like he's a "superstar", but he's still pretty coo when he wants to be
Darius Miles - Down to Earth and fun
Quentin Richardson - Sames as Miles... I met them both at the same time the summer before their rookie seasons.
Jeff Teague - Super coo dude
Gordon Hayward - What you see on TV is no front... He's always smiling and is down to Earth
Sean May - Coo dude. Just minds his business
Jared Jeffries - Same as May
Derrick McKey - Old school, but he's really nice
Antonio Davis - Same as McKey
Haywood Workman - Same as McKey and Davis
Jeff Foster - Just a regular guy
Uncoolest players I've met:
Patrick Ewing - Was rude and unapproachable... This was during his playing days. He was rude to me and my mom.
Reggie Miller - Talk about an arrogant dude. One of my favorite players, but he was arrogant.
Met him in Denver, dude has no idea he is in the NBA. Its super cool, he came into my resturuant one night.
I met T Mac and Alonzo Mourning in Miami, they were eating on this shoreside place called Monty's, in Wetsuits and watershoes cuz they were jetskiing. I think this was when he was a free agent and the Heat were trying to get him. I guess he didnt like me enough to stay!
KG was a really cool guy i got to meet him when i was like 12 and he was really nice to me and my dad Fred Hoiberg was very humble and a really good guy. and Mark madsen was awesome! Wally Szczerbiak and Trenton Hassel were cool as well. But Latrell Sprewell was an ass!
how'd you meet so many players?
i've never met any of 'em
I am very lucky to have the great grandparents i have. As a present for having a bar-mitzvah, my fairly wealth grandfather said to me i will take u on a trip anywhere in the U.S. He used to be a college ref and i love the nba so much, that we got to see 10 games in 10 cities, and we stayed at random hotels, but every single hotel happened to be the same hotel the players stayed at, we didnt stay at the same company either, even in one city we didnt even stay at a nice hotel, just one where my grandfather use to live by, and the lakers stayed there, i dont know y or how it happened but i met 10 different teams.
I went to a ton of T-wolves games. And my uncle got court side seats near the bench. So after the game i got to meet a couple of the players who stayed after. The role player most of the time are the nicest!
Players I met
i never met any nba players. I used to go to this club in sac all the time and would see matt barnes and bobby jackson there. Barnes seemed kinda like a douche. He bumped me once and just kept walking. I did get to kow some of his friends and they invited me over to his house but i didnt go. My buddy went and said he was cool.
Off again on again in the NBA. But he is one of the nicest human beings I have ever come across. Not just athlete, human being.
Sam Casell is a good guy from not knocking this other guy out...
I got Robert Parish and Daryll Dawkins autographs, but didn't really talk to them much
Jacques Vaughn - is about the nicest guy you'd ever meet
Wayne Simien - also very nice, pretty friendly
Danny Manning - pretty quiet, but a nice guy
Cole Aldrich - pretty shy, at first I thought he was kind of a dick, but he's just quiet
Xavier Henry - super outgoing, he's extremely friendly
Aaron Miles - cool, pretty funny
Keith Langford - played a pickup game with him, he was on the other team and we didn't really talk
Scot Pollard - the biggest person I've ever met, lol, his arms are like tree trunks
Met him at a safeway parking lot, Adonal Foyle is cool too
I met Vince Carter at his camp and he's a good guy but he sucks with my magic
i met jerry lucas hes super nice its amazing he claims to have memorized the phone book
Well, I once saw Donell Taylor at K-Mart, but he ran in really quick and went right back out.
I have met:
Gary Payton- super friendly, outgoing, really approachable, a bunch of us kids went up to him at a scrimmage and he was hella fun to talk to
Will Conroy- pretty chill, pretty gangsta, inner-city kid not gonna b.s. with you..tough as hell but still seemed slightly personable
John Brockman- nice dude didnt talk to him much just said hey and he said hey hows it goin and kept walkin lol
I haven't met hardly any NBA players. I met Kobe, and Matt Bonner. For guys who were and are still in college i met Ater Majok, Kemba Walker, Jr Inman(Rutgers), and Tyrell Biggs(Pittsburgh) both Biggs, and Inman are great guys, plus Trevor Williams(Iona) . I also met a D2 player Hakeem Williams on St. Anselms. Jr Inamn, Tyrell Biggs, and Trevor Williams all are former college players.
I've met Aaron McKie
He's like the nicest guy in the world.
Yeah I bet u met all those players, but then you woke up all wet.
I hear Dwight Howard is a really nice guy, I know someone who met him.
Also Birdman is cool as well, the rest dunno.
A friend told me their sibling was at a restaurant and Kobe was there he was real friendly they both had lil kids.
I met him after a Knicks game. He was really cool, and agreed to take a picture with my daughter and me. I also had a very brief chat with Herb Williams, who was also very cool. I shook hands with Renaldo Balkman, too, but he didn't say anything to me. I think I caught him by surprise.
We also saw Quentin Richardson, Patrick Ewing, and a couple others, but I can't remember who they all were now. But David Lee was a really nice guy.
gilbert arenas I met him in the parking lot of the oakland airport very cool guy he walk'd in wit me and talk'd 2 me like we were old friends
Rudy Gay was pretty chill. Signed a bunch of stuff for me and some friends one time, and waited for the bus with us in Uconn. Other then that all the other Uconn stars are jerks. Hasheem was a party animal who thought the world revolved around him, same with Williams, Villinueva, and Ben Gordon. Back when Uconn had it's lure all the players treated you like garbage.
I met Vin Baker in a Walgreens at 2am and he was very friendly - he was buying Sprite. I also waited on Tyron Lue and Danny Manning in a restaurant and they were both friendly and tipped well.... same w/ George Karl. A friend of mine waited on Tim Thomas and said he was a D bag.
And very tall.
Morris Peterson is the coolest person in the NBA. The things he used to do for us kids in the hood in Toronto, the things he used to do for random strangers is just blessed. He still shows out for us as well. Mo-Pete (if anyone really met him) is just straight up COOL.
JYD is a dick! He was in a parkinglot in his SUV and I asked for an autograph and he prentended he didn't know me and rolled up his window LMFAO. He is one of those guys who helps out alot in the community though so I guess he was just having an off day.
Mark Madsen was another one i met. ur right. VERY nice guy. firsmest handshake i ever got haha. he was a speaker at the stanford camp.
eric gordon- lame, very goofy nerd
andray blatche- another lame. if he wasnt a basketball player id think he was a bum
Al thornton- cool down to earth southern guy
Baron davis- big personality
deandre jordan- thinks hes a all star bu tnot
kevin durant- really a basketball junkie. u can tell he didnt go to parties in college. everything was basketbal
joakim noah- cocky but fun guy. has an attitude but a game to match
corey brewer- quiet southern guy
greg oden- ugly, goofy and weird
jj redick- the best player ive met as far as personality. jokes about funny sh*t and doesnt mind getting a lil wasted.
