Jester87ParticipantDavis, better athlete much more upside on defense. Cousins might be slightly more talented (and definitely more polished) on offense, but there’s too much difference on defense.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantAnthony Davis, Cousins is the better post scorer right now, but Davis has shown that can become an elite all-around NBA player in just his first two seasons. He’s one of the rare basketball players now who can impact a game equally on both ends of the court. I’d be willing to bet that Davis will be the best big man in the league by age 25, if not earlier. I just hope that the Pelicans surround with enough talent so that he can have a legitimate shot at a title. If not, it could be KG in Minnesota all over again.

fito91ParticipantAnthony Davis without question. You could make an argument that Davis is the best power forward in the league right now. Love, Griffin, Aldridge are great, but Davis is unreal defensively and his offensive game is good enough to put him in the conversation with those guys. The potential that Davis possesses is scary. Cousins has the edge when it comes to post scoring, but as Davis continues to add muscle I think he’ll improve significantly in the post and close the gap on Cousins. I really hope he can stay healthy, this kid is special.

jwall1ParticipantThey are two completely different players. Demarcus Cousins is without a doubt the better and more talented offensive player, and has more offensive versatility (can hit the jumper, pass, very polished post game). Cousins is also stronger and a better rebounder. Anthony Davis is without a doubt the better athlete and more talented defensive player, who’s offensive development has been scary fast. I would personally take Anthony Davis becuase of the defensive impact he has on the game, but talent wise I feel that they are both pretty much the same (but in different ways). I feel that Cousins will always have the advantage strength wise and will always be the better offensive player, but Davis will be able to add strength and improve his offensive repertoire so he wont be too far behind. Imagine pairing up Davis and Cousins in the frontcourt, that would be scary.

Ty BenjaminsParticipantLets just take a moment and actually realize that Calipari has sent in a player that is soon to be the best PF in the league, a player that is soon to be the best Center in the league and a player that is soon to be the best PG. WOW!

doubledribblerParticipantI am sure that is suppose to be a complement to his recruiting skills, which no one disputes, but what does that say about him as a coach? If you are referring to the guys I think you are, all of them played on the same team with a guy that was a borderline all star until he got hurt, a couple of NBA rotation players and an NBA bench warmer or two.

DolanCareParticipantDavis is such a versatile and multi-facted talent. I can’t think of a single team that would be unable to plug an AD into their system. He plays game-changing defense, devastating in the P&R, and has a face-up game. His presence is so fluid.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Boogie. But even though he’s a great post-scorer, there are a handful of teams that would have a hard time pluggin him- mainly because he’s a center who can’t block shots.

jwall1ParticipantIts a bit of a stretch to say he cannot block shots when he is blocking 1.3 shots in 32 mpg this year..

DolanCareParticipantI shouldn’t say that he ‘cant’ block shots. Just not a great defensive player which is difficult when you’re talking centers.

theprophetParticipantwithout the knucklehead factor of cousins, they are about as talented as one another in different ways. but talent can only take you so far. cousins should be hands down the best center in the league. he could be a top 10 player without a doubt-but- he’s an idiot! maybe someday with the help of shaq or someone else, that can change. the reality is though, i would rather have a marc gasol than a demarcus cousins. meanwhile davis is a star who’s knocking on the door of becoming a superstar.

tomdukes69ParticipantCal’s all NBA team – Wall, Bledsoe, MKG, AD, Cousins. Bench – T Jones, P Pat, Noel, B Knight, Twins, Dandled, Lantern and Willie. That’s the middle finger Cal is giving to all his haters.
