Did anybody else hear Bill Simmons predict Cousins would be shipped to DC this offseason? (before the Celtics-Knicks game) Ive heard this rumor before, anybody know anything more about this?

Yeah I've been hearing about

Yeah I've been hearing about this rumor since January. I get the idea of reuniting Wall with Cousins and that Cousins has an incredibly high ceiling. I just don't think he's what the Wizards want right now. He's kind of a head case, and for a team like the Wizards trying to make the playoffs next year, having someone with that kind of attitude can be detrimental.

I don't think the Wizards would really be reluctant to get Cousins for his behavior problems, to be honest, pairing him with wall and Beal(assuming they dont ship him to Sac) would be really really good.. If the price is right, they'd pull the trigger with no hesitation.. But who would they have to ship?

Trade

Maybe they go Cousins for Seraphin, Vesely, and 2013 first round pick? Sacramento gets young guys and picks where they can rebuild. Washington would have a great 3 man big man rotation. With this thy can take him off the floor when he does something wrong and they can still win, which won't build up his ego that they can't win without him. I could see this working out for the Wizards as Cousins mainly frustrated and angry at losing all the time, which would change with this lineup. Washington then adds some more shooters and veterans for depth and they would be a playoff team.

The Kings would need much

The Kings would need much more than that for this trade to ever go through, which is why it probably never will. When the Wizards traded Jordan Crawford for nothing they lost their only valuable asset that they were willing to give away. The only other piece that would maybe be valuable is Okafor's expiring contract next season, and the Kings wouldn't even want that.

if... BIG IF.. Sacramento

if... BIG IF.. Sacramento would really trade DMC to Washington.. i would ask for Beal & their Unprotected 2014 pick..

but i doubt this is ever going to happen.. DMC is too talented.. plus he's only earning 4-5 million per year..

If i was sac, I wouldn't do

If i was sac, I wouldn't do it unless Beal was included... At the end of the day, "boogie" is pretty damn talented.

Wall and Beal are the only

Wall and Beal are the only valuable assets the Wiz have. They are going to challenge for a playoff spot next year as well so it isn't like their 1st round pick is all that valuable either. If I am Sacramento and I am trading Cousins I would demand Beal. If they don't want to part with him there will be a bunch of other teams that will offer more than the Wizards are able to.

What if the Wizards get both

What if the Wizards get both Patterson and Cousins and pair the Wildcats with wall. Sounds like a pretty good trio together and they'll have chemistry. Maybe they give up 13 and 14 first round pick. The kings need to do a full rebuild when the Maloofs sale, so having as many picks as possible will benefit them.

Kings trade their Best Big

Kings trade their Best Big Man & their arguably 2nd Best Big Man whom they traded the 5th pick for..

*slow clap*

plus they're still rebuilding

It may not be realistic but

It may not be realistic but DMC would surely benefit playing alongside a solid veteran presence like Nene but the issue of DMC's baggage and likely big renewal is a big sticking point.

Considering the situation in

Considering the situation in Sacramento, this is possible. When you are desperate equal value is not always considered. Also Washington has expiring contracts and young players as well as draft picks. Kings may decide to blow this up and go young and cheap.

Washington would be better

Washington would be better off keeping Beal & their picks (unless they move up in the lottery to get McLemore) and go after Cousins next summer when Okafor & Ariza come off the books

I do not agree with this. If

I do not agree with this. If the Wizards ship Beal for DC, they'll need someone who stretches the floor (like McLemore).

why do people say Wall and Cousins had/will have chemistry

They didnt have much chemistry back at UK, Patterson and Wall had more chemistry than DMC and Wall...Wall also wants a Max contract and Cousins would want the same thing IMO...The Wizards have a shot at building a solid core with Wall and Beal, they also can add a prospect like Nerlens Noel or Otto Porter to replace Okefor or Ariza, getting guys like Beal and Noel on rookie contracts is exactly what a team like Washington needs with Wall approaching Free Agency quickly, DMC Is a great player but IMO he needs another team not named the Wizards to start over

What about the Cavs, Sixers or Mavericks? Cavs could offer some picks plus Varejoe for DMC, 76ers could offer Turner and Hawes plus the 11th pick for Cousins, The Mavs could sign and trade Collison or Mayo plus picks to pair up Dirk and DMC??? The Wizards just don't seem like the right place for him honestly
