So since I’m the Camera manager of the Varsity team, I have to go every game and record their games. So the JV game is first, and then the Varsity game starts at 5:30. There were hella people there, packed house, and me and all of my friends were yelling random names and such, it was a great game.

So with around 20 seconds left, the other team has the ball down by one, and they get several shots at the basket, but they miss again and again, we get the offensive board, and they fould us with 2.7 seconds left.

In theory we all know the game is over. Everyone in hte crowd is cheering when we get the board, and so are the players.

Then after the foul is called, the fans still going crazy, a kid from our school runs onto the court and hugs one of our player.

I’m not talking a couple feet onto the court, he runs to the center of the court and starts celebrating, and then quickly runs back into the stands, but it’s too late.

The refs talked for a couple minutes, and we’re all sort of laughing, but we know that this is serious buisness. The security guards sort of pinpoint the kid, and some people thought we would have to forfeit the game, but they gave us a tech.

It was two free throws, and we were very very lucky that they only made one, and the game went to OT. But coach was absolutly FUMING. He went to the middle of the court and told that kid to get out of here, and told him to wipe that grin off his face.

We ended up winning by 7 in OT, but that idiot almost cost us the game, and since I’m the manager and I have to give him the camera, I’m the first peron he talks to that’s not a player or coach after the game, and that would have been very awkward.

The lesson is, don’t storm the court like a maniac until the clock runs out, or ever for that matter. That guy is probably going to get banned from all sporting events, and have to run in the other direction every time he sees coach, the athletic director that’s all over the school.

i wouldve been laughing my glutes off if i saw that…

i went to a highschool game about three weeks ago for my old school that i graduated from last school yr…

and for the decleration of indempendence there was this kid that wasnt standing up, and its silent, then u hear the fball coach call out this kid… it was funny as sh*t!! i wanted to laugh, but they wouldve been bad to…

it was stupid of that kid not to stand, and after he was yelled at, he still didnt stand, which was a dbag move

but if i was that coach, i wouldnt draw attention toward myself by yelling at some retard kid who didnt want to stand… i mean, its a free country, u dont have to if u dont want to… but u should cuz its common courtesy….

but that coach has anger problems so i wasnt surprised lol… but i see y he did it

 I can’t believe the refs gave your team a tech for that. Your team had no control over that kid, they should have just kicked him out.

Last year my former high school team was 20-0 and they were facing the best team in our area, and thwy hit a go head basket with about 10 secs left, and when our pg was running the ball down the court to get a last second shot, the ref tripped him and we lost our first game of the season. Now in if i was any other kid i would be mad but i thought it was funny mainly because i hated my school lol
