I read this article from NBA.com written by Chris Dortch… I’m not familiar with him and I would love to hear some of your opinions on this guy… His name is Michael (written Mitchell in this site, don’t know which is which) Watt playing for the University of Buffalo… Just an inspiring story of a guy who was diagnosed with Guillan-Barre Syndrome that could have disabled him for life and yet here he is playing basketball and could be drafted in the NBA… What’s his game and who do you compare this kid to?

Looked him up and he seems intriguing. He averaged 16.6 ppg 7.6 rpg 2.3 apg 2.2 ppg and shot 55 FG%

Supposedly a legit 6’10 225 with good athleticism and the ability to step out and make jump shots. This was really a breakout year for him as he doubled his scoring from last season.

    Here’s a scouting report I found.

Has an NBA ready build- with a frame that will allow him to add about 15-20 lbs. of muscle. Able to use either hand in post. Nimble and fluid movement. Has a quick first step off the reverse pivot. Showed the ability to hit the open set 3 today. Smart shot blocker- great timing and knows what spots to get to. Influences shots he doesn’t block. Efficient in the post. Somehow he fouled out in a game where they were really letting guys play. His play here this week warrants at least a summer league invite and possibly a roster spot in training camp.

i think he compares well with anthony randolph.  he’s a wirey lefty with a nice perimeter jumper.  i have him sneaking into the second round just because the depth of the draft.  he really looked good in the reese’s senior college bball all-star game and has looked to continue that performance in the pit.
