I think the Orlando Magic best move would be to trade D12 to the Nets for Brook lopez , Marshon Brooks plus  Both 2012 first round picks the expiring contract of Mehmet Okur which is 10,890,000. Since shipping D12 out they will be out of any serious playoff contention so they need to just shape up and ship out the whole team. I suggest they start with Jameer nelson. The magic should ship Nelson/Turkoglu whom which Utah  would Amesty and D12 Trade exception to Utah for milsapp/Harris. Utah would deal because they already have a up and coming Favors and Kantor plus they want to get rid of Harris as soon as possible. Then they should trade Glen davis for marvin Williams. Glen Davis was only brough in because he and D12 are best friends, since D12 will be gone there will be no need for Davis’s service. The hawks will deal because they have been trying to ditch williams every since they drafted him. This will atleast give them a Starting lineup to start the 2013 season and make the loss of D12 as minimal as possible. Of course they wont recoup for a while but atleast they will have a heads up. To me that beats any deal availble. Otis better make a move before the magic totally mise out.

    1. Harris/Duhon
    2. Richardson/reddick
    3. Williams/millsapp
    4. Millsapp/Anderson
    5. Lopez
    6. Brooks
    7. 1st rd pick
    8. 1st rd pick

So pretty much the Jazz trade Millsap for a trade exemption? I think he has alot more value than that.

No need to trade Dwight Howard he’ll come to his senses and resign he won’t give up 30 million.

Millsap trade really, only move I liked was Marvin for Big Baby.

I agree with  CodySLC. No way Utah trade one of his best assets for a trade exception and an a soon to be amnesty player. And for Orlando, trading Nelson for Harris make nosense, due to the fact that they are similar players, except that Harris can’t shoot threes. Both are very inconsistent, they don’t defend and are not leaders, so forget it. I like D12 trade, but I think Orlando could get something else, like another pick. I don’t know.

Marshon Brooks is a great player, he should start for Orlando if this trade ocurrs.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban later joked that for the first time in years he didn’t cringe when he watched his team’s starting center shooting jumpers on the practice court. Kaman’s ability to do a number of things with the basketball will certainly make the Mavs harder to defend.

Damian Lillard had 14 points and seven assists in his first NBA action, and the Portland Trail Blazers ran to a 93-75 victory over Los Angeles in a preseason game Wednesday night.

“There’s really nothing else to say,” Bryant said with a smirk. “I said what I had to say.”

Bryant said plenty as he sat at his locker Wednesday before the Lakers’ exhibition against the Portland Trail Blazers in Ontario. Although he nursed a strained right shoulder that has since healed, Bryant remained in a jovial mood. He joked that he’s pestered new teammate Steve Nash for winning the 2005-06 MVP with Phoenix, which eliminated the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.t4343

So far in the preseason, the Blazers are 2-2, coming off a 97-80 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Portland hosts Golden State on Friday night.

The Blazers open the regular season on Halloween night at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Oh, and as for that new locker room, the Blazers unveiled it before the Nuggets game on Wednesday night. It includes a hydrotherapy room and a smoothie bar.

“To me there is one goal: no matter what I do, no matter how many minutes I play, the goal is to win a championship,” Green said when asked about starting over Pierce. “The other stuff will come. We work together. If he has an off night, I’ll pick up after him. If I have an off night, he’ll pick up for me. That’s how it is.”

Building something special in Cleveland will require the handful of remaining veterans to sacrifice and play outside of their comfort zone so young players like Tristan Thompson and Zeller can grow. Fortunately for Varejao, he can play both center and power forward and once he gets used to playing at the four spot again, Varejao should be able to provide veteran support to all of the Cavaliers’ young big men.

When Keith Smart took over as head coach of the Sacramento Kings, he knew that there was more to the job than just putting talent together and making it work. He knew that there were hurt feelings and bad blood that needed to be soothed. The team took some important steps in the direction of redemption last season, but this year Smart took the team completely out of their element for training camp to make sure everyone was on the same page.

Smart’s biggest challenge when he took over the Kings last year was to gain the trust of DeMarcus Cousins and help him grow into a player and a person who is a franchise cornerstone. That process got off to a great start last season, and Cousins seems to have taken the next step heading into the new season.

“As we’re speaking, I’m getting ready to put together a tape from where we were last year, and how he performed defensively, to what he’s done in training camp,” Smart said. “The guy has shown that he wants to commit to that side of the ball. He came in camp in great shape, did a great job in everything we were doing and wants to take the next step. He’s got to be consistent in his play every night. I said to him that he should be an all-defensive player.p789678968

The Kings aren’t getting much love as a playoff team this season, but if things come together the right way they could very well be knocking on the door come April.

Of course, it all comes down to what the Mavericks’ physicians feel is the right choice. If they feel he can last through a tolling NBA season, then he should pass. However, if they feel the operation is in his best interest, by no means is it a blow he and the Mavericks can’t recover from. In fact, it could be one that makes them better down the line as a result.i56875678
