los507ParticipantHe’s not good enough i don’t really know what he’s thinking unless he’s tired of school and wants to play over seas.Don’t get me wrong he’s a nice player with good overall skills for a combo but not good enough to hire an agent and stay in the draft

bmickelParticipantObviously I’m just guessing, but I think the fact he’s Italian (he doesn’t just hold the passport, he grew up there) was pretty important in this decision. Of course it means European teams can sign him avoiding the non-EU limitations, but also that for him playing overseas wouldn’t probably be as much of a secondary choice as it would be for most American players. There’s a good chance he won’t get drafted but it might turn out not being that important in his career.

NYKnicksuperFanParticipanti think this has something to do with their coach all his players always go pro and dont get drafted or they are late second rounders when they should have stayed in school i know mayo and derozan were one and done players but the others werent, when espn came out with the graduation rates fot the touranament teams USC ranked near the bottom

osirisboy9ParticipantI think Hackett leaving was a mistake, but i see alot of promise to his game he plays alot like another former USC point Gabe Pruitt and like Ramon Session’s, had Pruitt not gone to Boston i think he would be ahving more success in the NBA, and look at Sessions. Mayb I’m way off and Daniel will just be a Euro player.

sheltwon3ParticipantHe is a 6’5″ point so I am sure he may garner some interest.

Bfresh2DeathParticipantI always seem to be bragging about players I played against daniel aint one of em….other than his horrible attittude he just aint cut for the nba damn he even more unathletic than james harden and harden is on the cusp of nba athleticism he is flat out a D nba athlete u can look what I wrote about james harden and the same applies for this guy….he is a no go….look to see his dad get hired for a pro team as a trainer….that’s the only reason he got to usc

bluedevils12ParticipantI played hackett in aau and honestly he wasnt all that. I mean yea he was taller than us but mostly he played the same way he plays now. as 4 his attitude i mean he was one of the type to talk s*** and not even be doing anything. He came down talkin bout he would hit a shot on me and airball and run back down still talkin and cryin he got fouled. Im not hatin on him or nuthin but i played a lot of ppl and he honestly was someone that i think got by on potential. I got homeboys on the street that play beter than hackett and would destroy him if they ever played him. He will not make the league. I do think he could find a spot overseas though. His mid range game is nice though

RunthePoint310Participanthe can barely shoot the ball with any range, has limited dribbling skills, can barely pass, the only real thing he has is his persistence on defense. he’s gonna go undrafted and go to Italy.

henryoh90612Participanthe already represented italy internationally and there will be more money available for someone of his caliber in Europe

cycloParticipantI think Daniel Hacket deserved to be 1st team All-NCAA Defensive.
He’s one of the greatest 6’5″ defenders at any level of basketball and I think he’ll develop a spot up jumper in the NBA.
His handle was good enough to allow him to play PG full time in college. That says something.
I would draft him with a second round pick. He’d be well worth it.
