Check out this vid he shot 9 for 10 from the NBA 3 and shot as fast as Kevin Durant and Kevin Martin. Do you think he will be a real 3 point threat in the NBA?

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantThats definitely a scary thought^.. But thats not true. Although He is a better 3 point shooter than given credit for.

TooNice4TVParticipantI’d like to see it happen in game situations first off at the NBA level.. but it’s too bad that the NBA cancelled the Vegas summer league recently where we can all look at players early before the pre-season

Nico4nicolasParticipantThis analysis is not right, first of all, it’s only 10 shoots, then Derrick Williams doesn’t move his feet. The one position shooting is very easy for most professional players. I remember Micheal Redd saying that he used to finish his training with a 7 for 10 from the 3pts line but Redd was counting a basket only when it hits the target without touching the rim. In the end, Derrick Williams isn’t a bad shooter and may be able to develop into a good one.

PlatypusParticipantgotta find out where he’s playing first because wherever he goes could help or hurt his growth as a player

B-ball fanParticipantI think that he can be considered a good shooter. Yes, he didn’t take tons of threes i college, but he nailed the ones he did make. Shooting 56% from beyond the arc for a season is impressive, even if he only shot one or two threes per game. Not many players enter the NBA with as good a spot up jumper as he will. Plus, he has great touch around the rim. Sure, he should work on shooting off the dribble, and scoring from mid range and on the move, but I think his shooting will be a strength. Very few 4s in the NBA shoot as well as he does.

bigdaddybluesmanParticipantDWill has the potential to be a GREAT NBA player. But nobody knows, not even him what will be or were he will go and how that will work out. He may turn into a huge bust, who knows. But from what I have seen I think if he works hard and improves every year like great players do, he’s a potential hall of fame player. It’s really up to him and what team drafts him as to how good he becomes.
He has all the ingredients and intangibles as a player to reach that A or maybe the A+ level.

PulseGlazerParticipantWith his work ethic, I smell a star. If he’s seriously got Griffin size, his outside game is developed enough that I’m not really seeing why it’s a question.

omphalosParticipantI really hope he goes to the Cavaliers with the first pick, all the minutes he could want and the opportunity to be their franchise player.
