omphalosParticipantIn recent years, a pair of radio hosts; Hamish and Andy have become very popular in Australia. Just this year they took a "gap year" in the US, and decided one of the things they had to try in New York was balling at the Cage.
Things didn’t go so well in their first game, but they subbed out their third player for Allan Houston, and things got kinda interesting. Follow the link and skip to around the 3 minute mark for the basketball segment; I think you guys will enjoy it.
Cheers.

TallmanNYCParticipantIf you click on some links of people who were just watching, you can see that Houston still doesn’t play much D. The guy who he is guarding him does score some points and even tries to muscle and post of Houston (despite giving up 4 inches). Of course, Allan really isn’t trying, he is too cool for that.
This reminds me of a Jordan story. He is playing pickup against a bunch of older guys and corporate types. He turns to the guy he is guarding (think middle aged accountant) and says, "I know you are going to go home and tell your friends that you played basketball with Michael Jordan, what you aren’t going to do is tell them that you scored on me." Guy never scored a point and in fact got guarded so tight he rarely touched the ball.
Just a different level of competitiveness. The great ones have it and they don’t take a game off even when the games don’t matter.

omphalosParticipantTo be fair, Houston did have career ending injuries, hardly wants to reinjure for a tv show stunt.
