I’m not impressed at all by his play during this Nike Hoop Summit.  Is this how he normally plays?  There is no way he can but I just don’t see the hype behind him.

He just reminds me of a Kendall Marshall, never looking for his shot. Not fast but not slow. I just want someone to tell me he normally plays like "______".

Is he a elite level shooter or something?

When you need control and a smart PG who can handle both his teams runs and when a team makes a run on him, he is your guy. Could you imagine CJ Fair ignoring Ennis and bring the ball up himself to set up the offense? Of course not, but in the MDAA and Hoops Summit that’s exactly what has happened to Jones.

How can you be a game manager when your team only has 5 days of practice and you only get the ball in your hand barely over 50% of the time?

He also excells at getting into the lane, reading the defense and making the correct decision on whether to shoot a 4 foot floater or throw a 4 foot lob for a dunk.

His real talent won’t show until the start of next year at Duke.

I don’t think Tyus Jones will be anywhere close to the passer that Kendall was.  During Kendall’s sophomore year he was an absolute wizard with the ball.  He averaged like 9 assists per game and set Carolina’s single season assist record even though he missed the Kansas game with a broken wrist.  Kendall was also 6’4 and around 200 lbs.  Tyus is much shorter and much smaller.  I don’t like the Kendall Marshall comparison at all.
