Everyone I talk to (not just the people on this site) dwell on how bad it is that the NBA season isn’t starting on time and the owners are stubborn and this and that. Although, this is horrible and as fans we cannot understand how millions of dollars cannot equally be distributed people need to remember about college basketball this season. The season (unofficially, officially) starts Friday, November 11th, about a week and a half after the NBA season would start and we are going to see some of the deepest, most athletic teams we will have seen in a while.

A studded freshman class highlighted by Andre Drummond, Austin Rivers, Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, I mean the list goes on and on. Not to mention the returners such as Perry Jones, Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Lamb, Jared Sullinger. Future superstars in the league that won’t be playing. ESPN (and maybe even another station such as CBS or TNT) will understand the lack of professional basketball and sign on for more College Basketball to relieve the pain.

I understand there are no Lebron James’ or Kobe Bryant’s on the college hardwood, but nonetheless we should understand what is available to us and the excitement is can bring. I dunno I’m just hearing so much of this lockout BS that I feel like people forget about the huge season College Basketball is predicted to have. There will be a lot of competitive teams and a number of highlights and primetime players to watch and enjoy from November to April. Then, before you know it, a deal will be worked out (simply because owners cannot continue to do business like this) and the NBA will be underway….

So basically, all in all, just chill out, relax, watch some youtube videos of incoming prospects and enjoy what you have cause stressing on the things you don’t have ain’t gonna help homies. What do you guys thinks?

I haven’t really been interested in college ball the last few seasons, so I’ll definitely be paying attention this season. That’s one benefit of the lockout I guess lol.

I’m really intrigued to see this freshman class… Almost as much as I was intrigued to see the 2008 class.

will definately benefit from a (full season) lock out. Having all these ‘great’ young players in NCAA will obviously help.
