Does anyone acctually look at the mock draft? The sacramento kings are going to select three power forwards in the draft when there biggest need is pg?!!?? Lets do some research into the teams and their needs before we start guessing where players are going. Ricky rubio to washington?? have we forgot bout gilbert and mike james (who? mike james). Hasheem thabeet to the clips? How bout someone other then eric gordon that can make a shot. Camby is dominant inside when healthy i highly doubt they will take an unathletic center with the system they run. Truly this mock draft is a consensus for the mentally handicapped!

I think I read somewhere that team needs aren’t factored into this until after the lottery. I don’t know why needs aren’t considered sooner but o well.

To the site’s credit, I don’t think team needs were formulated yet. It has the T’wolves drafting 2 PF’s when they have Kevin Love, and Dallas drafting another undersized PG as well. Right now, it appears the draft is based on player ranking currently draft eligible, with predictions of who will stay in. I think once they lottery is determined they will begin to make the draft sorted with team needs.

This is the exact reason why you don’t do a mock yourself until the order is truly determined.

hey just because they haven’t calculated team needs doesn’t mean that you can’t do it by yourself

It’s not about team needs, until the lottery happens the order is based off individual ratings/rankings for each player…..Right now it’s just based off who they think is a better prospect, do some research before you draw conclusions kid.

It seems like you are not using your head….

The draft lottery isn’t until May 19th, so they don’t know whose picking where… So the best thing anyone can do is to create a mock with the best players in ranking order. It has NOTHING to do with team needs at this point. If you look at the draft order on the home page you can see that the teams that are picking are ranked from the worst NBA record to the best. If a team traded their pick, whatever that team’s record is where the new team is located… i.e. Minnesota with the Heat and Celtics pick…

Its simple…. No need to criticize people….. Or this site…

where did you see me criticizing this site,i just said that the team’s needs aren’t calculated yet, nothing more, and there’s no reason for people not to create mocks right now, they can modify it later for whatever reason

I think doing mocks is still good because you can always change things as you find out stuff because it gives you a more realistic aproach because we still don’t know who will be traded or not. What trips me out in when people make mock drafts and have some of the same mistakes and then some of them actually have evaluations and you are like huh do you watch the NBA at all.
