Durant wanted to play for the Raptors...?
He wanted to be on a new team and he got his wish with OKC. And to think, he and Westbrook bring the same and even more enthusiasm than Carter did with the raptors
Isnt PG County in Maryland?? but people claim DC?? i dont get it. Beasley, Durant, Nolan Smith, Quinn Cook... And many more, they all claim DC.. i dont get it hahahaah
It's the DMV (Delaware Maryland Virginia) and DC is the hub. It's about the cultural hub of the where you from. It's the same thing as Kobe claiming he was raised in Philly even tho he lived in Lower Merion which is a county outside of Philly. But Philly is the cultural hub. Even people from South Jersey say Philly because that's the closest cultural hub.
Lol you my friend are wrong the "D" in this fictional place of the DMV stands for DC not Delaware and it was created by who knows but popularized by Wale because he is from Maryland but lived DC but knew saying where he was really from wouldn't be recognizable in mainstream.
That's one thing I never got with a lot of players that want to go play for the Lakers or the Celtics or the Knicks.
When I was a kid with dreams of playing in the NBA I often dreamed of playing with a team with no real history of championship success. I mean obviously Orlando was at the top of the list, but I always imagined how amazing bringing home a championship to Atlanta, Phoenix, New Jersey or Sacramento would be. And how that city would embrace me as it's superstar and face of the franchise. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Durant Wanted To Play For Raptors

Kevin Durant wanted to play for the Toronto Raptors as a young player growing up in Washington, D.C.
"They were a new team when I was growing up, so I wanted to be a part of that," Durant said.
Durant was a big fan of Vince Carter, who played for the Raptors from 1998-2004.
"His enthusiasm he showed, just his athleticism, and how he brought Toronto from being one of the newer teams in the league to almost going to the finals,” Durant said. “He changed the culture there in Toronto."

If he signs here as a FA.... Only a Raptors' fan can dream.
