According to CBS Sports, Sources around Dwight Howard is telling them that he is leaning toward the Houston Rockets.
“With six weeks to go before Howard becomes an unrestricted free agent, the team that is said to intrigue him the most is the Houston Rockets, according to multiple people briefed on internal conversations surrounding Howard’s free-agent decision. The Rockets have a young star, James Harden, who has proved himself worthy of playing the leading role for the franchise; a budding 3-point shooting threat in Chandler Parsons; a defensive-minded coach in Kevin McHale; and Omer Asik, the kind of 7-footer Howard is believed to want next to him in the frontcourt.” What is your opinion on Howards interest on joining the Rockets? Where do you think Howard will end up?

The “Poison Pill” contracts for Lin & Asik are real killers down the road. I’m guessing if Howard bolts to the Rockets then CP3 follows suit (the whole Celtics deal has been a debacle)…If that’s the case, then Lin’s contract probably has to go as well. Sure, a projected starting five of Howard/Asik/Parsons/Harden/CP3 sounds like a lot of fun, but this isn’t NBA2k…What’s more realistic is, if Howard wants to join the Rockets, the one of Lin/Asik/Parsons will have to be traded, quite possibly two of those guys. With that in mind, it is really tough to tell what the Rockets roster will look like next year if Howard and Paul want to join Harden in Htown…
