jaysmith1987ParticipantI got to commend Mudiay for picking SMU as his school of choice you dont see to many kids pick a underdog school to try and star at. On the other hand I hope this decision does not back fire on him. One thing we all know Larry Brown does not like playing rookies or freshman. Just take a look at last years MCDS all american Keith Frazier. The guy only averaged four points a game and had a basic freshman season. I think probably next year Frazier gets more minutes and he does not have the talent of a Mudiay but at the same time I think if Frazier would have went to a team simliar to SMU with a coach not opposed to play freshman he could have done at least decent. I dont think Brown will be able to hold Mudiay back as much as Frazier but I would not be suprised if Mudiay stays more than one year.

GanjahWeedParticipantHe was UK’s to lose. Word was he would not be eligible outside the state of Texas. Prim Prep school had a few kids last year that had a hard time getting eligible this past year. Too bad for him as SMU will be good but hard to see them as a real threat.

ropeParticipantI wonder about this. Doesn’t the NCAA have a national clearinghouse for eligibility? It would seem if his credits are accepted at one NCAA member school, same would be true for another school.

ropeParticipantBrown doesn’t usually play young players because they can’t defend. If Mudiay can hang in there a couple of years, Brown has a heck of a track record in developing point guards.
