D HampParticipantI hear Eric Devendorf has had a couple of good workouts with NBA teams. Where does he get drafted. I would guess somewhere in the mid-to late second round. He’s a 6 foot 4 point guard who can shoot and make clutch shots. He also has incredible fervor for basketball.

Untouchable JParticipantI like Devo’s game, I dont think he’s a PG, though. Reminds me of Flip Murray/Delonte West
He would have to work his butt off to make a roster, if his J is on in workouts i think he can be an NBA SG.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:17am #156531
zruc57ParticipantI heard some teams are extremely high on Devendorf, and he had workouts with the Timberwolves and Grizzlies where he was supposedly outstanding. He athleticism is underatted, and anyone with his shooting ability and swagger can help out an NBA team. I’m even hearing that late first round round is a possibility. This is draft in which many players are devoid of shooting ability, and players of his polish are pretty rare. Expect him to definitely get drafted, and don’t be all that suprised if he gets selected in the last couple picks of the first round.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:24am #156532
gatorheelsParticipantHaha no way does Devendorf get drafted in the first round. I can name 60 players in this draft that are better than him. He will be very lucky to get drafted. If he does it will be very late in the 2nd round. This draft isn’t as weak as people think…you will see soon enough.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:28am #156534
auberParticipantHe has no business being drafted. Missed his time out of HS if that., A talented European Player at best. Not NBA Caliber.

RickyRubio9Participantis a good player and I watched alot of SU basketball and man this kid has a passion for the game and loves winning. Any team looking for a shooter should think of getting him and he hustles for looseballs and does a solid job on defense although not always. Anyways he’ll get better on the offensive end…I think.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:13am #156558
bunka24ParticipantI would be surprised if he was drafted at all.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:13am #156559
Stanford hoopsParticipantthe thing is alot of players do that…hes gonna have to really really stand out in something to get drafted…if i was him id get in the leauge by just going all out of defense to get my foot in the door then show off my other skills because as of now he doesnt really stand out
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:34am #156573
D HampParticipantYou guys don’t listen. He is standing out. That’s the point. He’s having excellent workouts. I’ve been saying it for months. Dude can play. He played the point for a season before the injury. Then he switched positions when Flynn came to the Orange. Anyway, dude is a balla and killing his workouts.

0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:54am #156584
HueBoND 2001ParticipantI loved him coming out of highschool I thought he was a white chocolate without the high dribble and high release jumper…Could make a team, but it may be better for him to go to Europe, more money no inflation, and way better women
Theres not alot of open spots for incoming players. If your in the wrong situation you could be sitting for 3 years. Sergio Rodriguez looked great on youtube look at him now
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 9:14am #156615
Stanford hoopsParticipantyoure not understanding dhamp..these workouts are against his shawdow…no defense on the player …its just him againts trainers and every so often a player might get to workout against someone with no nba caliber potential..
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 9:15am #156616
QHaynes123I think he will be on the list of late 2nd round look
Either he will go round 2 on the NBA draft
or
Round 1 of the NBDL draft
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 9:20am #156618
Stanford hoopsParticipanti think he could eventally either make a team or get picked second round..i mean he isnt a bad player..i just cant see him going first round
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 9:34am #156625
D HampParticipantThere’s no way there are 60 players in college better than Devo. You can’t even name clutch shots by other players. Devo has an ESPN top ten list.

Stanford hoopsParticipant60 players??…naw i have to agree with you on that..ut a top ten list doesnt mean much…ismail muhammud from gt had a a top ten list a couple years ago

Stanford hoopsParticipantjason conley has a couple of top 10s too i recall..not alot but a couple…actually devo hasnt had that many top tens..plus you dont have to be that good to have top ten plays you just have to make one play
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 11:06am #156669
gatorheelsParticipantThere are at least 60 players in this draft better than Devendorf….that is a fact. I can name them all if u want. Which is why he won’t get drafted.

I named 90 players better than Devendorf!!!! No way he gets drafted!!!!

D HampParticipantFirst of all Paul Harris, Devo’s teammate, is not better than him. He didn’t hit one jump shot all season.
Some may same Calathes or Green is better. I still don’t think so.
A few of these players have more upside, such as B.J. Mullens, but right now, and before the draft, they aren’t better than Devendorf. Sorry.

Stanford hoopsParticipanti bet you havent even seen any of the euro players you have named even play..so how can you name them?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:59am #156990
gatorheelsParticipantI’ve seen them all play. I’ve also seen Devendorf play a thousand times…..IF he is so good since everybody is saying then how come he isn’t going to get drafted????? I made my point. The 90 players I listed will all get drafted ahead of him.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:41am #157011
Stanford hoopsParticipantok people we all have opinions which is cool but when you start to lie to get youre point across thats when it gets sad
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:44am #157004
Stanford hoopsParticipantso you went over to europe to see these europeans play?..because there games werent on nbatv nor youtube..and thought i dont think devo will get drafted..neither will the players you named..some arent even that good( vaden can shoot but how do you consider him better?)..tasmin mitchell is average and after looking at the stats of the players i have seen play im tryna figure out what makes u think they are better then devo?..mich downs?..lol…seriously mich downs and Macvan and Faverani..have you seen faverani play?..ive played against him and seen him..please tell me where u have seen him play ?????///…also where did you see Milenko play?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:46am #157014
gatorheelsParticipantI think they are better than Devo based on how they will transition into the nba. All the players I named should be ranked….Apparently the websites you look at don’t know what they are talking about. I bet on draft night 58 or more picks come from the 90 players I listed above. No I didn’t go to Europe to watch the games haha but I have watched film on at least 90% of the players I mentioned. By the way Vaden and Tasmin won’t get drafted either but they have a better chance then Devo.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:47am #157015
bryant markson1did you really mention emir Preldzic…reallly?..now i know u havnt seen him play if you even mentioned that guy..he stinks..played against him in turkey…come on you making youre self look like a real fraud
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:48am #157016
gatorheelsParticipantMicah Downs played for Gonzaga. I’ve seen Tasmin play in person a couple times. So you played against Faverani??? Cool. So you think he is terrible?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:52am #157018
Stanford hoopsParticipantfaverani isnt terrible but he isnt better then devo….for him to be mentioned as being better made me know u never seen him or any of the euros play…it also made me realize you juts picked a list of players and put it up here ..every player u have watched im sure just about everyone up here has watched the same amount of times that they have played on tv or shown clips on sports center
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:52am #157017
gatorheelsParticipantPreldzic has a chance to be drafted. So you think Preldzic is terrible???? We will see come draft night who gets drafted and who doesn’t. My whole point is Devendorf won’t. I would draft Preldzic over him just based on size and potential. By the way you can type in basically any players name in google and find film on them. So you can call me a fraud all you want but Iike I said almost all the players drafted on draft night will come from that 90 player list I created..I may miss a couple ha.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:53am #157019
bryant markson1josh hes just basing this on what other people have said or what he has read…..dont argue with someone who gets there info from third party and not first hand knowledge
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:53am #157020
gatorheelsParticipantSo you would draft Devo over Faverani if your were an NBA GM???
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:55am #157022
gatorheelsParticipantbryant markson… Sorry I don’t live in Europe and I’m not an international basketball expert but I can watch film and see that a lot of these European players have more potential then Devo. By the way I don’t hate Devendorf…I wish the best for him…I am just stating my opinion that I don’t he will make it in the nba.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:58am #157023
bryant markson1plus he went from saying he has seen all of the players he listed to 90percent…that right there tells you to not even entertain the conversation anymore..then on top of that hes baseing whos better off of a highlight tape ( which most of these euros you named dont really have and if they do cant be released to a fan)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:01am #157028
gatorheelsParticipantActually almost all the Euro players have highlights and or game film which I have seen. I guess you are so special since you played against Preldzic..big deal. I’ve seen a lot of the players from that list in person too. I’m just giving you my opinion on who will be drafted and who won’t. If you don’t agree with me then that is perfectly fine.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:09am #157034
bryant markson1for one game film isnt give to regular fans its given to teams when asked for. so unless you are a gm you dont have any film of those 2 players thats how teams work over in europe esspecially game film..so please dont tell me about how things work in europe when you dont know anything about it
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:13am #157039
Stanford hoopsParticipantyou cant just get film of these players for one because you have to pay the team for them unless its a big time team like maccabi or olympiocus..they dont just give you game film because you ask for it…its a process that a fan cant just get
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:25am #157045
QHaynes123i would take Fredric Wies over Devo…and i chill in the cuse…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:40am #157057
gatorheelsParticipantI’m glad somebody has my back. I was getting tag teamed for a minute there. There are highlights and flim all over the internet all you have to do is look for it that is a fact. I’m done talkin about this. This whole topic was based on Devo not Euro players. I could care less how things “Work” in Europe, all I know is with the majority of these players all you have to do is a search and all kinds of flim comes up showing these international players playing basketball. Everybody lets crown bryant markson & josh the Euro basketball kings. They know everything.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:45am #157060
bryant markson1it has nothing to do with knowing everything..you the one who said you seen them play then backtracted and said you seen 90percent of them play…so it had everything to do with you lying to get youre point across…i just came to expose you for lying which i did so im done with this chat…ill let you get back to lying to these other people
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 9:47am #157065
gatorheelsParticipantHahaha ok. I’m sorry that I haven’t seen 10% of those 90 players play (a few of the international players). They all still have a better chance at getting drafted than Devo does!
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 10:19am #157082
D HampParticipantGatorheels. Get out of town. You’re a fraud. You haven’t seen any Europeans play! lol! You probably haven’t seen DEVO play. Ha ha ha ha ha. By the way, he broke the Big East Tournament scoring record this year. lol!

gatorheelsParticipantHe should’ve broken the record considering they played a game that had 6 overtimes!! haha I’ve seen a lot of the Euro’s play so the jokes on you. Sorry your boy Devo will playing in the DLeague if he is lucky. lol!
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 10:54am #157097

Hubie Brown.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 11:02am #157101
gatorheelsParticipantD Hamp you lost all credibility along time ago when you said Devo is better than Harangody, McClinton, McNeal, Smith, Summers etc….. You have no idea what you are talking about. Do you even watch other teams play or is Syracuse the only team you watch?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 11:21am #157116
gatorheelsParticipantJosh…. here is a link if u want to see Milenko Tepic play. Just so you don’t think I am a fraud. I can give you more links of international players if u want. Getting game film isn’t improssible like you and bryant seem to think. So yes I have seen Tepic play.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 11:22am #157117
gatorheelsParticipantBy the way I understand you can only learn so much from watching film. Seeing someone play in person helps. So I definitely don’t know it all.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 2:39pm #157180
315ParticipantLuke harangody is terrible and wont get drafted
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 7:34am #157972
gatorheelsParticipantHarangody isn’t terrible. How can somebody that averaged these numbers in the Big East last year be terrible? 23 pts 12 reb 2 ast 1 steal 1 blk I think he going back to Notre Dame for another year.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 7:47am #157975
gatorheelsParticipantAnything D Hamp says is irrelevant because he loves Syracuse…that is clear. How can you think Devendorf is better than Jeff Teague, Damion James, Calathes, haha you are absolutely out of your mind.
Josh & Bryant I’ve watched tons of game film on international players so both of your statements were totally false. It is pretty clear both of you are complete FRAUDS! Get the hell out of here with your complete bullsh@t talk.
bryant markson is LAME…. He said he played against Preldzic in Turkey. He says Preldzic stinks. If that is the case then why is Preldzic predicted to be drafted in every mock draft I have seen? Also this is just a little bit of information on Preldzic CAREER NOTES
grew up with KK Celik Zenica (Bosnia-Herzegovina)…signed for the 2004-05 season by Triglav Kranj…signed for the 2005-06 season by KD Slovan Ljubljana…moved to Turkey for the 2007-08 season, signed by Fenerbahce Ulker Sports Club Istanbul.

flexosexoParticipantA.D. Vassallo > Eric Devendorf
19 PPG on less turnover, plus more size, gives you 6 rebs plus almost a steal/blk per game.
David Huetras also, one of the best scorers in the SEC.Eric Devendoft was a nice college player, but the NBA won’t be his game.
He’ll have a decent career in a 2nd level league in Europe.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 11:40am #158033
