after tezo said that my comment about eric gordon not being a winner thus far in his post-HS career was the most ridiculous comment he’s heard on here… I wanna know people’s opinions.

Am I off in saying that Gordon has not been a winner thus far? Also, keep in mind that I was trying to counter something about Gordon being like BRoy, who I think HAS proven himself as a winner….

    opinions…

He is neither, he started half the season on a bad team as a rookie. You can’t judge a player off of that. We will be able to tell soon.

U are actually correct if we all can remeber that his Indiana team started of 17-1 and went into a slump tha rest of tha year, also not to mention his team got eliminated in tha 1st round of tha NCAA Tournament, and being on tha CLIPPERS, u guaranteed to be a loser

EXACTLY yupyup… My whole point was, you can’t use the past two seasons to determine if Gordon will ever be a winner in the NBA. It’s stupid. One college season w/ a disfunctional team & one NBA season w/ the worst team in the NBA isn’t enough to say Gordon is a “consistent LOSER”. It’s stupid to compare Eric Gordon & Brandon Roy when it comes to “winning” lol. Roy played four years in college & three in the NBA. That’s seven years to two. Of course Roy will have won more. He’s had more opportunities & been in better situations. It’s too early to say, “I don’t think Gordon will ever be a winner.” I mean, based on what? TWO seasons? Youre saying you don’t think a 20 year old will ever be a winner based on two of the worst seasons in his whole life??? That’s stupid!

remember i said i dont know if gordon will ever be a winner… not that i don’t think he’ll be a winner.

consistent loser might have been the wrong word to describe 2 years… but winning against HS competition doesn’t mean shitttttt

Gordon got hurt and that is why the team in Indiana lost among other things like the coach and some of the players being high. Also the Clippers stunk and if Gordon helps bring them back with the help of Griffin and some much motivated vets than will he be a winner then. Brandon Roy than not start as a winner. People surely forget.

the point is, gordon will be a winner once he’s won some games at a high level. in that respect he is indeed different than roy who led the blazers to the 3rd seed and has won games with his clutch play (the houston game comes to mind). that’s all im saying.

Your basically saying Gordon makes all the teams he plays on losers, which isnt true at all. He isnt the only player on these teams. And I agree 100% about the length of his career, he has played 2 years of ball after high school and the teams he played on have alot to do with his success (or relatively lack thereof).
