MikezParticipantA saw Ryan Hollins at a mall near Cleveland, I don’t think he counts as a basketball player though.

llperezive ran across a few but wouldnt say i’ve really met or chatted with any. Closest was probably matt barnes. I used to go to the same wednesday night hang out spot as him in sac. Saw him there numerous times. I started kicking it with some people who hung with him and was invited back to barnes’s house once to play some madden, but declined.

MUbballfanParticipantDWade and LeBron walked right past me out of the tunnel at the Bradley Center when Marquette was playing Seton Hall last year, Heat were in town to play the Bucks the following night, and DWade took LeBron and a few others (I believe Dexter Pittman and maybe Mario Chalmers) to see Marquette play. I couldve stolen LeBron’s hat right off his balding head. That’s the closest I’ve been to meeting an NBA player, have never actually met one yet.

Toronto16ParticipantLiving in Toronto, I can say DeMar DeRozan is a bit of a jerk and is not personable with fans at all.

bballjunkie09Participant– Alan Anderson, Austin Daye, Antoine Wright (not in NBA anymore), Rashard Lewis at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas this past June. Was watching them and some NCAA players scrimmage, noticed an older lady watching them play. Started talking and turns out it was Austin Daye’s grandmother. She’s really nice, down to earth and has a great sense of humor.
– Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton: this was actually very recent, happened last friday. They were walking around downtown Montreal the night before they played the Raptors at the Bell Centre on saturday. I followed them and they went to a pretty low key bar with their entourage lol.
– Steve Nash: met him about 8 years ago when he opened up the first Steve Nash Sports Club in Vancouver BC, was able to get his autograph on one of my shirts, it still hangs in my room to this day! 😛
– This one isnt NBA but I got the opportunity to also meet the coaching staff of Findlay Prep in Las Vegas, theyve coached Tristan Thompson (Cavs), Avery Bradley (Celtics) to name a few. Got a tour around their campus and got to ask them a ton of questions. They gave me some findlay shirts after it all. It was awesome haha

Chilbert arenasParticipantPartied pretty hard with Thomas Robinson summer of 2010, true story, he was driving my buddies car after having a few drinks with no lights on and no licence. We got pulled over, they noticed who he was and let us go haha. Let’s just say we didn’t have to pay for drinks at the bars the entire time we were in Lawerence, but when we needed booze at the liquor store for Elija Johnsons birthday I had to buy it since no one at the time was 21.

BigChamp12ParticipantGrowing up playing on a top AAU Team and playing college ball, I got the chance to meet and play against several players, some before they made it to the league.
Im from Bham, Alabama where I played Demarcus Cousins often and me and Eric Bledsoe played for the same AAU organization. I played Demar Derozan and B. Jennings when they played for the P. Miller All Stars. They were sick players!! Played James Harden his soph yr at ASU. Actually went to a couple of his games this year vecause he put me and my guys on the will-call list. Very Cool Dude! Shoutsout to James. Played against Blake Griffin, Bradley Beal, Klay Thompson, Patrick Patterson, Doron Lamb. Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger, Tyler Zeller, Harrison Barnes, John Henson.
Played against Kemba Walker at the Nike Peach Jam in the Championship. I also played Draymond Green often back in AAU when he played with The Family
Got autographs from Grant Hill and Jerry Stackhouse when they both were with Detroit. They came and did signings at a "Just for Feet headquarters in Alabama where my sister worked."
Besides Cousins and Bledsoe, the most interactionI had with (other than playing against) any players would probably be with Ty Lawson. I met him in Vegas in July and hung out in his hotel room and rode the strip in his limo and wne to the club VIP. It was the life! He’s real laid back and down to earth.
There’s probably more but those are the ones off the top of my head.

tiberiusParticipantI met some nba players at the nba africa sprite basketball camp in Kenya. There was Glenn Rice who actually drilled me in 3 point shooting and defensive stances. we had a funny arguement after he said I could make it to the nba and I replied “you gotta be kidding me glenn, when they say scout for a player that stands out, it doesn’t mean the white boy in the black crowd”. I also met some dude called Bul Bior at teh camp who picked me to join the event’s allstar game. I had a long chat with Masai Ujiri who is the denver nuggets GM and happens to be Kenyan and visiting family.
Otherwise I met the and1 crew, I played hot sauce when he came to kenya as well and the and1 crew got absolutely destroyed by Nairobi’s finest. Other than that I saw Yi Jianlian at the airport in NY. I saw Kevin Garnett when I was in Boston, I saw and even got to talk for like 2 minutes with John Wall in Washington. He’s a cool guy but its hard to listen to him for more than a minute because his voice is monotonous and doesn’t change in tone. he has an accent that makes life difficult for the listener.
