This time I’m curious about the Suns. They’re honestly in a great position, GM Ryan (Daeny Targaryen) McDonough’s Dragic(-on) is nearly grown and soon he can set out to conquer the West(erros). He somehow outwitted Larry bird in a trade and has Indy’s first rounder to go with their own, the Wizard’s and possibly the Twolves (if they continue their slight revival).

As it is they’re got a great young team playing together and Gerald Green has obviously had how to actually play basketball explained to him. I don’t think his level of play will continue forever but he’s now a decent starter along with Dragic and Bledsoe as a rising star backcourt.

It’s not to hard to see them picking at #14(Theirs), #15(Minny), #17 (Wizards) and # 27 (Indy). That’s quite a raft of first rounders with which to land a 3rd or 4th guy on a top side or potentially shift for assets or even higher picks. This moment is always dangerous for teams as they’re getting good enough to longer get better through the draft, at which point you need to get good enough to win or end up in the dreaded middle-ground, so this offseason might be their chance to make or break.

    Thoughts?

well, first of all bledsoe is a free agent so there is no guarantee he’ll be back.  the only other player with an expiring contract would be pj tucker.  if they end up with 4 picks, they gotta go for some homerun picks with 2 of them.  maybe a potential guy (lavine, gordon) with a euro (micic, capela, nurkic, herzonja) and 2 picks on guys that can make the rotation.  i think a forward and guard would work.  for forward, think payne, harrell or grant would be options.  pg or sg would be james young, stauskas, clarkson, payton, christon, ennis, markel brown or jordan adams.

I honestly think they should try go all in on getting Kevin Love, we know that a stretch four works in the Suns offensive scheme and who better than Kevin Love.

Bledsoe to me is still key to what they want to do in Phoenix however he is not as important as initially thought. I think that a sign and trade of Bledsoe plus a 1st round pick would be worth it for Love.

Dragic, Green, Tucker, Love and Plumlee will be very useful. They could use those other pick to add some depth to go along with the Morris twins, but either way you look at it Phoenix is in a great position.
