In my honest opinion, Festus Ezeli has a very good chance of getting solid minutes as a rookie for the Golden State Warriors.  Now, I’m not basing that off of ONE PRESEASON game like most people do, although he did have a very good night last night.

I think Ezeli was a damn good player at Vanderbilt.  Kentucky’s first loss of the season?  Yeah, Ezeli was tearing them up down low.  He and John Jenkins helped take Vanderbilt and make them into a National Championship contending team.

In Oakland, they have Bogut and Biedrins in front of Ezeli.  Bogut is a very good NBA center who has top-5 potential whenever healthy.  However, the word healthy is a HUGE key.  Bogut can’t seem to stay healthy, no matter what.

If Bogut goes down with an injury, it’s down to Biedrins and Ezeli.  I’ve seen Biedrins play, and it’s frustrating as hell, and I’m not even a Warriors fan!  He can’t finish around/above the rim, he’s slow and unathletic, and he cannot make a foul shot.  Whenever I compare Ezeli and Biedrins, I give Ezeli the advantage later in the season, simply because he can perform offensively.

Ezeli may be raw offensively, but he still has a lot of energy that allows him to get up and down the floor, and leap for some pretty dunks.

In my personal opinion, if Bogut goes down with an injury once again, I’d look for Festus Ezeli to have a very nice impact filling in at center for the Golden State Warriors.

    What do you guys think?

Ezeli’s getting minutes, regardless if Bogut is healthy or not. He’s been playing hard on both ends of the floor in the preseason. Biedrins never seems to play with a chip on his shoulder. Always looks uninspired, uninterested on the court.

I like him to. Raw with a good head on his shoulders. He should work himself into rotation
