There is nothing better than posting an NBA topic in the NBA draft section, but I decided to go for a change. I have not posted in a while, and I am sure I offended people with my first sentence, but, once those people reach puberty I am sure they will get past it. What I wanted to talk about is free agency. I was looking back at some of my posts and while I am generally kind of full of it, I did get that Shaq thing thankfully, lol and I am down with maybe doing a little more predicting. So, lets get down to predicting a few squads for free agents. As of now, I have no real time to post it, but I will drop my two cents on all the big name guys. Since I could not leave without at least casting the first stones, I am thinking Hedo to Portland is looking quite probable, and if Villanueva signed the mid level in Cleveland, that is very nice for them. I also think Sheed to San Antonio is a likely combination, but I am thinking lets list the free agents and the two or three teams they are most likely to sign with, or if you really think they are signing with their own. For the restricted cats, I see Sessions, Millsap and probably David Lee getting matched, although David Lee might be getting more money from a team than the Knicks are willing to risk in hopes of signing some dudes next year. So, thoughts….?

Has become slightly strange. I do not know if people look at posts or not, or what is going on, and the deal with the points system, but I am back. So, I will respond to my own post with commentary beyond a sentence of little to no insight (sorry, I am going through my bitter at ridiculousness stage). So, without fonder a due, here is the list of key free agents and where they are likely to go by my approximation. I would appreciate a “this list is dumber than Chad Ford’s’s’s” or a generous “You should not predict these things because the future holds many different things and if all your predictions are right (which they will not be as a side bar) it might cause the earth to be sucked into a vortex.” Or, lists of your own and insight that goes beyond another notch in your post count could be decent. The list does not include dudes who declined their ETO’s (Kobe, Boozer, Okur).

Possible Destinations (In no order of rank but in order of places most likely to go)

Rasheed Wallace: 1. San Antonio, 2. Cleveland, 3. Orlando

Mike Bibby: 1. Atlanta, 2. Minnesota (Kidding)

Jason Kidd: 1. Dallas, 2. Cleveland, 3. Lakers

David Lee: 1. Knicks, 2. Detroit, 3. Memphis

Marvin Williams: 1. Atlanta will match anything (Which is not even assuming he will get huge offers)

Ben Gordon: 1. Detroit, 2. Minnesota, 3. Atlanta

Raymond Felton: 1. Charlotte (Do not think he will get any offers that they won’t match)

Anderson Verajao: 1. Cleveland, 2. Memphis, 3. Toronto

Wally Sczerbiack: 1. Neptune, 2. Cleveland

Allen Iverson: 1. Charlotte, 2. Memphis, 3. Toronto (lol, would be funny to have him play there)

Antonio McDyess: 1. Boston, 2. Cleveland, 3. OKC (Might be a nice fit)

Ron Artest: 1. Houston, 2. Atlanta (Would be smart), 3. Portland (I like him better than Hedo)

Hedo Turkoglu: 1. Portland, 2. Detroit, 3. Orlando

Andre Miller: 1. Philadelphia, 2. Portland, 3. Atlanta (I think he would be an upgrade to Bibby)

    Jarrett Jack: 1. Indiana

Lamar Odom: 1. Lakers, 2. Memphis, 3. Detroit

Trevor Ariza: 1. Lakers, 2. Portland, 3. Detroit

Shannon Brown: 1. Lakers, 2. Atlanta, 3. Oklahoma City (Bomb back-up combo)

    Ramon Sessions: 1. Milwaukee

Charlie Villanueva: 1. Cleveland, 2. Memphis, 3. OKC

Nate Robinson: 1. Sacramento, 2. Lakers, 3. Knicks

Grant Hill and Matt Barnes: 1. Phoenix, 2. Any contender with some mid level to spare

Shawn Marion: 1. Raptors, 2. Highest bidder regardless of record

Paul Millsap: 1. Utah likely to match anything 2. OKC, 3. Detroit, 4. Memphis

Honestly, none of these free agents are franchise guys, but many are great role guys whose signings may indeed change a team into a contender and maybe take a team that is has some weaknesses to the championship. If San Antonio signs Sheed, they would have to be favorites. If the Cavs sign Charlie V, they will be tough, but I think they would still need to re-sign Verajao just for that spark off the bench for their front line. Thoughts and comments welcome……

I don’t think any body really cares if wally signes a deal to play on neptune, after this year poor playoffs. I have never seen somebody shoot as many airballs.
