http://www.nationofblue.com/cauley-stein-and-wiltjer-to-return-goodwin-to-enter-nba-draft/
Coach Cal announced that Archie is entering the draft, but will not sign with an agent and WCS said he doesn’t think he is ready yet and wants to become a complete player while pursuing a championship.

HobbyOGParticipantNot surprised about Goodwin, he was uncoachable and out of control most of the time. He will ride the pine in the NBA. What’s good to have a SG who can’t shot?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantWiltjer entering the draft will be a April Fool’s Joke……

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantI thought this was another April Fools Thread. But i’m a little surprised with Will Cauley-Stein staying, but then again not really. I figured he would head pro due to this being considered a weak draft. But I actually thought he would stay before the Nerlens Noel injury. But I like him staying. He can get better as a player, plus I really don’t think he will be too challenged for minutes. Sucks for Archie Goodwin though. I guess he is afraid to get lost in the system next year with all the guards coming in.

samosasParticipantI did not think that WCS would be coming back. Goodwin might as well go now because he ain’t getting sniff next year with that loaded draft. Maybe his family needs money, you never know. I get upset when a kid and his family make a decision and people who have never met them nor know them tell them it’s a bad decision. He’ll get a chance to prove himself and will get picked up first round. If you don’t get better practicing against elite talent, how are you supposed to be better beating up on noobs (Gonzaga, you there?)?

scbe2223ParticipantGoodwin will impress people during workouts and will inevitably go higher in the draft than his production and poor shot would suggest.
No mention of Poythress leads me to assume he is staying as well.So to recap
Out: Harrow, Goodwin, Noel(probably)
Back: WCS, Wiltjer, Poythress (probably)
Should be incredibly deep next year which is very rare for a Calipari coached team. The ability to play 8-10 guys is something that UK fans haven’t seen in the last 5 years or so

samosasParticipantagreed on Goodwin. He’s got great length and can get to the basket. You can fix a broke jumper, you can’t fix short arms, no ability to drive and no hops.

JordanC20ParticipantWillie is a smart kid you can tell by the way he talks in interviews..I see him becoming the leader for UK next season and becoming a top 5 pick as well.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI know it might not happen, but can you imagine the confusion and chaos that’ll be going on in front offices with the GMs and Coaches…If Zeller,McLemore,Noel,Len,Burke,Smart and Porter decide to stay in school?
Will they even bother to hold a draft this year?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI doubt if Willie Cauley Stein even considered himself a nba prospect last summer..So it doesnt surprise me to see him staying or changing his mind in a few weeks, after family and friends get into his ear and start talking about the money he’s missing out on….

Bryant24ParticipantArchie Goodwin leaving doesn’t surprises me but I though WCS will leave considering he would more than likely be a lottery pick. The depth on Kentucky team next year is going to be crazy especially if Poythress decides to come back and their still in the running for Andrew Wiggins. Archie Goodwin has a lot of potential he may impress in workouts but I think he still a couple years away from helping an NBA team I wouldn’t be surprise if he be an late lottery pick though cause the talent is there.

strobox88ParticipantWasn’t Goodwin the one who said that he wasn’t sure about the other players, but he was going to return because he didn’t want his college career to end like it did this year? Guess you can’t believe everything someone says, even if it comes straight out of their own mouth…
On the other hand, I don’t blame him with the new talent they have coming in next year. It’s sink or swim for Goodwin; he chose to swim. Good for him.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantMost people who watch college basketball know you don’t believe a player after a loss. Durant said the same thing as well as many others. WCS made a good decision by coming back. Whoever said he won’t have comp at the C positions is sadly mistaken though, Dakari Johnson may not be a athletic freak but he is a beats, he’s a great rebounder and ca score in the half court while being very strong.

Malik-UniversalParticipantWCS should come back… dude is not ready for the nba at all… the reason why he maybe considered “ready” is because of a weak draft

surveParticipanteven though I believe WCS would be a lotto pick, I would applaud him for coming back.

Ghost01ParticipantOnly thing with WCS…a lot of his hype is based around good ole “potential” if he stays, and doesn’t succeed/get better, then his draft stock may never be what it is now in this weak class.
