Jayhawks2011ParticipantOden is not going to be resigned this summer, and will become a free agent.
Could the Heat be a good option for him to go to?
Unlike all the other options the heat would have for the summer, Oden would be young. I understand it is a very risky play giving him that much money. If he makes a recovery like Amare or Kidd he could make the Heat even better and more talented.

esperanzafleet69Participantgiving him that much money? they can offer him the minimum… or pay him however much they want… its a matter of if the blazers match or other teams drive up his price with offers..
the thing about oden is that hes got youth on his side… my brother suffered a tibial plataeu fracture, (broke off and practically shattered the top of his tibia), hes the same age as oden, and has almost completely recovered a year after… if theres anything doctors will say is that its easier for younger people to recover from knee injuries that older people..

creepingdefParticipantI’ve said this ages ago, but I honestly think Oden’s going to Minnesota. They have enough cap space to make a good run on his contract, and Kahn is big on guy’s with potential. I hope he recovers from this and does well in the NBA.
Could you imagine a starting five of Oden, Love, Beasley, Johnson and Flynn?
If he actually recovers fully from this and lives up to the hype, those guys could be playoff contenders.

aarondsonixfanParticipantI wish that OKC would pick him up, because they would be absolutely set then. Idk if Jeff Green will be resigned next year, and if he isn’t, picking up Oden wouldn’t be that much of a shocker for me. They have depth at the Post with Ibaka, Aldrich, Collison, White, and Krstic, so it’s not like they would NEED Oden to play right away.. Again, it’s a wish, but it’s highly unlikely.

NarcParticipantA team that can use a real center can use him. Let’s not forget he is still young and hopefully, with time he can put all this mess behind him. His last injury before this was a freak accident if anything and while he has been injury prone, when on the court, the flashes of potentiall were there.
If he does make a healthy run, I can see him going to New York, Toronto, Phoenix, and maybe even San Antonio (they’re not getting any younger).

omphalosParticipantOddly I just wrote a piece for my blog about where Oden would fit in and why;
Denver, Hawks and Boston.
Explanations can be found here;

Shameless plug, I know haha.
