dalinkerParticipantBoth players got new contracts. They will be filling in for great players that left their team (Amare and Bosh). So who do you guys think will make the greater impact and will they prove that the money they got is best suited for them?
Thoughts?

B-ball fanParticipantHe will get more playing time than Warrick. He is competing with Ed Davis, a fairly raw rookie for playing time, while Warrick is playing behind Turkoglu, a veteran Phoenix traded for. Phoenix is a better team that has a great pick and roll, so Warrick will score more efficiently however.

OhCanada-ParticipantTurkoglu will be playing the 3 Position. People who believe he will play the 4 are dreaming. Look at all the PF’s they have..Frye, Warrick, Clark, Lawal. At SF they have Dudley, and Hill. Childress can play SG, SF and PF so he doesn’t count at either position.
PG-Nash, Dragic
SG-Richardson, Childress, Janning
SF-Turkoglu, Hill, Dudley
PF-Warrick, Clark, Lawal
C-Lopez, FryeTurkolu would get beat down by Western Conference PF’s and isntr suited to come off the bench. Frye has established himself as being usefull off the bench, Hill is the most standup guy in the nBa and will have no problem with coming off the bench.

OhCanada-ParticipantNot for long. Once he starts getting beat up and Phoenix is the worst rebounding team in the league Gentry will switch him.

OhCanada-ParticipantPhoenix wont make the playoffs with Turk at 4. Childress would be better at 4.

JNixonParticipant“Phoenix wont make the playoffs with Turk at 4. Childress would be better at 4.”
You must have NEVER seen Josh Childress play before. He has never played PF in the NBA, while Turkoglu has. You have no clue if you think Childress would be better at PF than Turkoglu. Both are true SF’s, but Turkoglu wouldn’t be that bad at the PF spot, especially compared to Childress at the position.

joecheck88Participanti dont want to talk about it. phoenix is my team and i had to be there for them last year when people said they would be a top 5 lotto team. i told them phoenix could make it to the western cf. but realistically, this year, i see us as about the 10th best team in the west.
and to answer the question, i think amir johnson was given the keys to the pf spot when they signed him. i expect 14 and 8 from him and warrick should be at about 8 and 5 because he wont get the minutes johnson will.
