Hansborough
Theres a big difference between the 2 of them. Shelden was an undersized center at 6'9. Tyler's a good sized PF at 6'9-6'10 and in his 4 years at UNC developed a really good face up game. Most teams would like him on their team as a backup 4 because of his willingness to crash the boards and do the other dirty work. And at 19 he offers pretty solid value. Wouldnt you father have him coming off the bench than Zaza?
The Hawks won't draft Hansbrough, but if they did, then that means they would use Josh Smith or Al Horford as trade bait to lure a Center to ATL. Off the top of my head, those would be guys like Tyson Chandler, Chris Kaman, Samuel Dalembert, Andris Biedrins, etc.
That would NOT work for me! Especially since they could probably get anyone of those guys without trading Smith or Horford.
sheldon was a first round pick primarly based on great defence and rebounding at the center position in college, his lack of size and athleticism has made the nba transition tough on him. Tyler is much more of an offensive player. based on his size and college production tyler should at the min be a Leon Powe type PF ( im thinking 15min 8-9 pts 4-5 rb a game as rookie), i think tyler has more range on offence then powe.
Come on Kahlerwill!!! They wouldn't dare trade Al Horford!!! Josh Smith yes, it would make more sense. Getting rid of Josh Smith would allow them to give Marvin Williams more mins. at SF, get get a center, move Al Horford to his natural position at PF and drafting Tyler would give them a high energy back up for Al.

If the Hawks choose this stiff I think I'll shoot myself.
DIDNT THEY LEARN ANYTHING FROM SHELDEN WILLIAMS.. HE GOT TRADED HALF HIS ROOKIE SEASON. HE SUCKED!
I try my hardest to be a Hawks fan but they make it so hard. They pass up CP3 which was cool BUT THEN THEY DRAFT SHELDON OVER BRANDON ROY TOO!!.
