Any chance James Harden could become yet another Adam Morrison?

That’s a highly illogical conclusion to draw. Morrison’s weaknesses almost all stem from his incredible lack of athleticism and that he can’t actually create his own shot.

Harden may not be the most athletic guy out there, but he’s significantly more athletic and stronger than Morrison.

Right now, Harden should be considered one of the safest picks of the draft.

Harden to me is like a poor man’s Brandon Roy. I know a lot of Gm like MJ wish they had their pick back that year because they let a star go to Portland. Harden will be the same.

Harden is too slow and lacks the athleticism to succeed as an NBA shooting guard.

Take away the speed and athleticism of OJ Mayo, Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon and you’d have three undrafted bench players.

Harden doesn’t have any speed or athleticism to begin with, so the team that drafts him is drafting a career bench player.

Hardens game is centered around pure skill. It does not rely on athleticism and that’s a good thing, but to make him sound like he is slower than brad miller and has no athletic ability is crazy. The harden i’ve seen all year is a very good player and will succeed in the NBA…what harden have you been watching, i hope its not that three game sample you saw when he had mediocre games.

He doesn’t need foot speed like prime AI to succeed. I see him as a borderline All-Star caliber player from year-to-year. A consistent 18-20 ppg scorer and a guy you can count on to knock down big shots when it matters.

Masrock has right!!Harden will be good NBA player. Morrison is only shooter and he’s white…Harden like to penetration and finish with nice layups

“and he’s white” lol.what the hell does that have to do with anything?

harden will be very good.people need to stop acting like he’s super slow.he’s got enough speed and strength to play 2 guard in the league.

off top james harden is a great COLLEGE plqyer I fit him in the same mold as morrison sean may and jj reddick…..I personally played against him numerous times in highschool and the fact he’s a top ten pick is laughable….when u hear the draft reports u hear highly skilld cerebal smart high bball iq….and all that’s neccesacery cuz he is not a top tier athlete at best he get an averege or D+ rating on athleticism like I said I played against him and at best at the very best he will be an average nba player he is destined for the bench and ultimately euro player….where I think his skill set could make him a great euro player he is a great player but manu no brandon roy no he’s good but not a great or good athlete at all….he should happy ppl are being fooled to takin him so early in the draft and the same thing goes for daniel hackettt its like they r of the same mold botthh great cerebal players but were not talkin getting good grades were talking basketball

AM was just a disappointment. Who thought Rudy Gay would be that good that’s how the lottery is. I think Harden is def a risky pick. Athleticism is one thing you can’t teach. I guess if he conditions he can improve. Being shy in the big games is suspect as well. i see him avg. 13 his first year. He’s got a big body and he uses it so he’ll prob get fouled a lot. I don’t think he’ll be an all star but he will be a solid starter. I don’t know if AM is even getting minutes now.

NO Adam Morrison shuldnt even b said n tha same sentence as James Harden. To me he seems like a safe pick, tha only problem wif this kid is he is to damn unselfish, he has to get that killer instinct, i believe if he wulda had that mentality this whole year he wulda been a lock for tha # 2 pick. But Adam Morrison jus F#$&in SUCKS FLATOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is as much chance Harden ends up like Michael Jordan as he does like Adam Morrison.

Harden could bench press Adam Morrison between 30 and 40 times.

woah…he will be Adam way before he is Jordan. So he has just as much chance to be the greatest the game has ever seen as he does to be a bust. You are either very bias or very stupid!

…is that he has about 0% chance of ending up like Adam Morrison.
    Hyperbole, my friends. Enjoy it.

I could see him possibly developing into a paul pierce kind of player. Harden’s not the fastest guy, but has decent strength and an adequate outside shot with a good driving ability and the willingness and intensity to be a decent defender(similiar to pierce). I can see the Manu comparison but, I think he has elements of both pierce and ginobli.

I’m tired of PPl saying harden is not a good athelete. I have sayer time and time again, jet because he does not always show it does not mean he cannot do it. Like I have said in earlier post he is a “sneaky athelete” just likes brandon Roy and Paul pierce! He always looks out of shape yes but he can run and jump with a lot of them (not all) but most. Every now and then harden shows it. Like In one game this (I will try to find the video) he catches an oop from further out and higher elevated than most of the guys that are praised for doing night in and nght out but do you guys recognize harden for it? No! My personal oppinion, I just think no one wants to see him succeed and a biased because he doesn’t always make sports centers top ten or drop 30 or 40 or take tough shots and not pass the ball. That’s what basketball is now a days. It’s all about the nice cross over that didn’t even shake the defender but still looked good or my favorite: the incredible fadeaway that he made when he he is still only shooting 30 percent. Harden is an old fashioned pass first gaurs who just wants to win not matter what it takes. He doesn’t care about the flash or the stats. Isn’t that what basketball is supposed to be about? Not this era it’s not. Shame
