One of the biggest anticipations for high school basketball recruiting in quite sometime. Maryland was definitely in the hunt and SMU was even getting a little love. HUGE get for the Wildcats. Instant tittle contenders with this dynamic duo in the backcourt.  Prob the most talented set of twins to ever enter college basketball.  Here’s a quick player profile on Andrew & Aaron along with video playlists.

    Andrew Harrison: http://prospect-central.blogspot.com/2011/09/player-profile-andrew-harrison-class-of.html

    Aaron Harrison: http://prospect-central.blogspot.com/2011/09/player-profile-aaron-harrison-class-of.html

If you watched the show on ESPNU…it was almost like the Lebron decision SMH

     –  Harrison twins to Kentucky. When Cal calls to offer a scholarship, there’s VERY strong likelihood you’re a lottery pick. Hard to argue that. –

Really, both of them are lottery picks? I have only seen highlights so is someone who is more familiar with them could help me with this. Obviously it is tough to say so far away but it has been the case with Cal.

Oh yeah, both should be lottery picks in the possibly legendary 2014 draft. I liked Dave Telep’s comparisons for them, he said Andrew is like Tyreke Evans/Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams and Aaron is like Brandon Roy and 2 other players who I cant remember at this moment. I would say he’s also like another Bradley Beal/Eric Gordon type.

Not surprised at all. The lure of winning and higher exposure usually outweighs all.

That will be another amazing team especially with Wiggins-best prospect since LeBron, Randle-beast, and the twins who I don’t know much about but rank extremely high. They will need another big instead of Young though. I think Cal will figure it all…… Stupid you get negged for this just cause of spelling. This group with Wiggins and company has a chance to be mentioned along with Webber, Rose, Howard, King and Jackson- the great Fab Five.

i seriously don’t see this fab 5 thing happening.

randle likes the ball and likes to be THE guy, imho. he knows the twins like the ball as well and with them on the same team there is no need for randle to strive at leading a break or be the main ball handler.

wiggins thinks he’s the best prospects and i don’t see him going after UK now that the twins got there first.

maybe james young joins and others, but not wiggins and randle

Calipari has his hands all over Radle and Wiggins. I give them at least a 75% chance of going there.

Not everyone wants to see stacked teams.  I’d prefer to see the blue chip talent more dispersed.  These kids are following the path of least resistance, stacking the deck and forgoing leaving their own legacies at the college level, which is completely understandable since the college game is just a stepping stone.  But I’m not a fan of this AAU style, "joining forces" mentality that’s pervasive among all levels of basketball now.  Whatever happened to beating your competitors and trying to prove you’re better than them?

I also think that some of these guys should challenge themselves more and go to schools where they’ll actually learn and improve before they go to the NBA. I don’t think Calipari is great at developing players and is just good at recruiting guys that are ready for the college game and fits them into a certain system.

Can’t wait til calipari gets caught red-handed.

you don’t think a coach who’s universally lauded by the pundits as one of the best coaches in the game will help these kids improve their game?  if they had gone to, say, notre dame would that have made them better players?

for everyone else that hates calipari and insists he’s cheating take a look at NC state’s recruiting class.  how in the hell are they getting all these five star players?  gottfried has an awful track record as a winner at the sport, he was fired from a job for performance issues.  doesn’t it make more sense to go to an established program where the coach has a winning track record?  turgeon’s career winning percentage is barely 60%.  that kids, is a D.  cal’s is 77%.

corey magette, who admitted to a judge that he took money to play didn’t get duke in trouble.  lance thomas who somehow got 30,000 dollars in college isn’t going to get duke into trouble.  roy williams and the tar heels fake classes aren’t going to get UNC into trouble.  do you pick and choose who you hate because they win, or because the media tells you to?

Ha if they get those 4 players they could easily be the greatest college team ever. I hope for the sake of the rest of the country wiggins or randle decide they want to showcase thier full array of talents on a different team

Coach cal is ruining college basketball. I liked it when each college basketball team had one or two star players now cal is trying to stack his teams and is morally wrong recruiting these guys using their pro dreams as the main reason they choose his program when they should focus on their education as not every college player is going to stick in the NBA

nobody seemed to mind when UNC had a string of 4 5 star recruits in two or three classes.  also as far as stacked goes, the only other player in this class is a crappy white kid.  others may come, but they aint stacked at the moment.  it’s not going to stay this way forever, but right now kentucky is the IT school in college ball at the moment.

You’re in the very small minority if you think Cal is ruining basketball. As a matter of fact you make no sense. So Cal should get one top player and tell the rest to go somewhere else? Did UNLV ruin basketball when they were dominate? duke? UNC when Dean Smith had stars? Arkansas? Florida? How about Alabama,USC in football when they have a roster full of NFL players?

As far as Randle wanting to b e the GUY. You are obviously wrong about that since he has UK as his leader. If these guys wanted to be THE guy they would go to some small school. These guys want to win a title and are willing to play team ball to do it. They know UK will have other stars yet they still go there and they still have them as one of their top picks. They know team ball at UK equals title run and high draft pick. They see a dominate player like Anthony Davis (who averaged 33 a game in H.S) go to UK, avg 13 a game and become the top draft pick.

First off football is irrelevant in this argument as you have to stay 3 years before going to the NFL, guys like dean smith recruited stars to teach them the fundamentals and win championships, unlike cal who is preying on these kids by using their pro dreams to fuel their decision of playing for him. High school players should be trying to focus on their academics instead of the life of an NBA superstar that most won’t get to. Your argument was very ignorant and flawed

here’s what kills me.  50% of new college graduates are unemployed.  unless you get an engineering degree or go to professional school, odds are you aren’t going to get a job.  would you rather a.) study sociology for two more years or b.) make at least 800k in that same time frame.  you can always go back to college, but you can’t play in the NBA when you’re 45.  so please, tell me how it makes more sense to go to college for three years and forego the potential financial of your family’s security for the rest of your life.  and how getting a college degree is going to be the savior for you if the nba doesn’t work out.  if you have the secret you should probably share it with the ncaa.  there’s a lot of people out there with degrees that can’t find work, i’m sure they’re dying for your input.
