RickyRubio9ParticipantI’ve been hearing so many things for my team.
Yao didn’t opt-out of course, the qualifying offers for Lowry & Scola have been made..
Now the Free Agency part, looks like Chris Bosh is our Main-Target of course while Amare is our consolation prize..Also on the radar is Brad Miller, Joe Johnson, & Mike Miller.
I’ve heard of a Mega Plan to get both Bosh & Johnson to Houston & we’d most likely be losing Battier, Ariza, Scola, or Martin. A combination of those players…If Morey can pull that off then he’s simply amazing. He plans to use one of the big signings to attract the other.PG – Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry
SG – Joe Johnson, Jermaine Taylor
SF – Battier/Ariza, Budinger,
PF – Chris Bosh, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson
C – Yao Ming, Jordan Hill. That’d be a SICK lineup, automatic Title Contenders & a favorite I might add.
I’ve also heard of Amare to Houston in a Sign&Trade for Battier, Scola, & ___________. Something along the lines of that. Amare is great & all, but I think that’s best kept as a backup plan.
The small signings of Mike Miller or Brad Miller would be very good for us. Brad Miller knows Rick’s offense as well as anyone & we’d finally have a legit big to backup Yao although he is old. Mike Miller would be an excellent shooter to help spread the floor, he’s getting up there in age as well though. It’d be tough to spread the minutes between Ariza, Budinger, Battier, Martin, & Miller so someone would have to be moved..
Hopefully Morey can work some more magic and finally get us over the hump. I’m comfortable with the team we have now, but a big free agent signing would be an awesome addition for our team.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:07am #344892
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantDaryl Morey sees Kevin Martin as Reggie Miller and I don’t see him giving him up.

RickyRubio9ParticipantI’ve heard of the Joe Johnson OFFER, but nothing has been signed is what I heard & read…
& I also heard just because they sign him doesn’t mean they aren’t open to trading him via Sign&Trade.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:19am #344913
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe NY picks you got for dealing TMac should be the deal maker…NY looks like they could miss big and still be a lottery team and those Picks will be Sweet for team parting ways with a Superstar Forward…
This is what I heard they are offering…Scola( resigned at fair price)Battier( expected to be brought out to return and The Ny Picks( Yeah both of them…people talk about the right’s to swap option like it’s makes a difference…The Picks are Houston’s to trade…From what I hear they want Martin for the Sign and Trade of Joe Johnson…But with Atlanta going the MAX…I think they’ll keep the dead eye K Mart…and hope to sign The Millers with remaining money…hard to turn down a championship…
Yao and Bosh with the young core healthy for a playoff run= Championship…
Now Brooks,Martin,Ariza and Miller…with Budinger and Battier( Chase who may be traded in Bosh deal and Shane may be brought out)… being wild cards as well hitting from outside…Houston becomes the Best Team in the League offensively…with Pat Patterson and Jordan Hill too (I feel they’ll keep the young bigs…but if they part with one for Bosh Hey, let it be Hill to Toronto…I think they are Contenders with The Signing or trade for Bosh…Yao being healthy will be a Key though…That core is good enough around them…

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantBosh is most likely going to Miami or Chicago.

Tobe BryantParticipantIf the Houston Rockets acquire Amare Stoudemire, or Chris Bosh…then you can kiss any of these players GOODBYE:
PG- Kyle Lowry
PF- Patrick Patterson
SF- Trevor Ariza (MAYBE NOT)
SF- Shane Battier
SG/SF- Chase BudingerThey may not lose all these players, but you can bet it’s gonna be these pool of players involved in any sort of deals!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:31am #344933
RickyRubio9ParticipantI forgot completely about our draft picks, you are completely right. That makes the deal..
& @sinkn3s
I don’t think we’ll lose more then 3 players & draft picks if we trade for Bosh/Amare.
I expect Scola, Hill, Battier, or Martin to be packaged in any deals..
Maybe Budinger…0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:33am #344939
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Raps dont need another Point guard
Pat Patterson for Bosh is fine…Hill and Scola there with Bosh and Yao is great…
Trevor can go too if that’s all they want…
Shane will be brought out ala Big Z with Cleveland…Them trading Ariza and Battier would leave them thin at SF…
Budinger can go too if they sign Mike Miller and Kept either Ariza or Battier…The NY Picks get it done…Any Combo of
1.Scola or Patterson or Hill…Pick a big
2.Ariza or Battiers or Budinger…Pick a Wing not named K Martin
3.The NY picks in 2011 and 2012…That should do it for the Raptors..They can take the picks and use them later to unload Turks contract…what do the Rockets care about The Knicks picks, they got for them Nothing…They can keep their own late in the 1st …This deal is better than the proposed Miami trade offer of Beasley,Chalmers and Anthony…
Rockets have better players and picks to offer…They’ll be contenders and Bosh will be the MAN in his home state…0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:50am #344969
RickyRubio9ParticipantSounds like a Great Deal for Both Teams..
Ariza is a Young Wing who has plenty of Upside still believe it or not..Late in the season he was filling up the boxscores with like 15+ Points, 6-7 Boards & Assists, & some steals. He was doing it all & Budinger is a Young Guy with some Upside as well, he proved to be a steal in the draft and he was a key part of the rotation since injuries to Battier & Ariza occured. As for the PF, I wouldn’t mind giving up Hill or Patterson, but I’m sure Scola attracts the most attention..I’d be sad to see him go.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 9:54am #344979
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI don’t see Bosh choosing Yao Ming and Kevin Martin over D-Wade and another good player.

joecheck88Participanthouston definately wants bosh, bad. i think chase budinger, scola, and battier, plus ny picks for bosh would be the deal. its a mix of all things toronto could want expiring(battier), young shooter(budinger), solid post(scola), plus 2 ny picks(which most likely are still lottery picks) is better than nothing. plus bosh gets the max max from toronto. the key to a team with brooks, martin, ariza, bosh, and yao is the backup center. they cant play yao more than 25-28 minutes a night during the season, they need to save him for playoffs. they need a center than can play big minutes during the season like haywood. even if it costs them a few regular season games, id rather have 5 seed and healthy yao than 2 or 3 seed and no yao.

PlatypusParticipantThere was almost a sign and trade of Scola and Battier for Amare but Phx thought they could just sign him
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:11am #344993
RickyRubio9ParticipantWell, Bosh has already said before he doesn’t see the Mega Plan going down in South Beach. I mean, Chicago might have a better chance if they got LeBron as well, but that’s no guarantee..
D.Wade is only getting ONE other Great Player to play alongside him, I believe that. If that’s Bosh, so be it, but Houston would be a great situation for him.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:15am #344998
PlatypusParticipantdepth would then be
Brooks – Lowry
Martin – ?
Ariza – ?
Bosh – Patterson / Hill
Haywood – Yao / Hillgood team, only prob is depth
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:20am #345001
joecheck88Participantjermaine taylor could give a spark off the bench i suppose, yea depth could be an issue but lowry, brooks, ariza and k mart are young and can play a few more minutes, maybe trade hill or patterson for a backup sf like jared dudley(just an example of a player not a trade idea, defender/shooter off the bench).
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:29am #345010
RickyRubio9ParticipantHouston does have some money to spend outside of the trade for Bosh I believe..
Signing a Miller whether it’s Brad or Mike sounds better to me then Haywood. I don’t think Haywood will be cheap .0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:34am #345013
PlatypusParticipantRockets should keep Patterson and trade David Anderson for Delonte West (CLE) and Hill for Nick Young (Wash)
Now
Brooks – Lowry
Martin – West / Harris
Ariza – Young / Harris
Bosh – Patterson – Hayes
Brad Miller / Haywood / or even Ben Wallace – Yao – Hayes0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:35am #345016
RickyRubio9ParticipantI don’t like NIck & his selfish attitude & I doubt Andersen would be enough for West even with the awkward situation going on in Cleveland, as a matter of fact I forgot all about Andersen in this post
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 10:53am #345028
PlatypusParticipantJordan Hill for D Jones from (Indy), Anderson for Rudy Fernandez (portland)
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 11:09am #345047
OhCanada-ParticipantYou guys are high…high..high..high..high
The deal wouldnt have Scola, Ariza,or Martin unless a third team interested in one of those players was incourporated into the trade scheme. Ariza is the most likeley out of the 3 because his contract isnt bad and he is reletevely young but he swung at Demar Derozan last year and I dont see Toronto trying to desperetly screw up the teams morales.
The trade would most Likely include..
Battier-1YR-$7,345,500
Jeffries-1YR-$6,883,400
Jordan Hill-4YR-$2,669,520–(first year)
Chuck-Hayes-1YR-$2,301,205
Houston Rockets 2011 1st Round Draft Pick (with option to swap with NYK)
New York Knicks 2012 1st Round Draft PickThey get a bunch of serviceable expiring contracts to play around with and a very high potential big man with 2 1st rounders. Cap room and future value.

Mr.Knick 32Participant…..A little lol
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 12:01pm #345088
joecheck88Participantmore chance bosh to houston than to ny, lol. u might as well jump on njs bandwagon while they are still bad because i think ny is lotto bound until after 2015. im tired of all these ny threads, it was just nice talking about something other than lebron bosh and new york.
