Why would the Hawks get rid

Why would the Hawks get rid of Smooth for Randolph?

Adding more salary over the next three years for a guy who is older than Josh would be insane. Not to mention that Josh is key in trying to bring Howard to Atlanta if he doesn't resign with L.A.
