gopack10ParticipantTechnically the trade in the article isn’t mine so don’t neg me.

As a Hawks fan I wouldn’t mind trying to piggy back on a potential Boston-LA deal like the one in the article. Could net us a few pieces and a pick or two all while we rid ourselves of Josh Smith.

Meditated StatesParticipantKobe in the back court lol. Could they get along?

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWhy wouldn’t they? Rondo is a pass first point guard and would make Kobe’s job 10times easier

Ghost01ParticipantHow bout the fact the same was said about Nash? Kobe is a BALL DOMINANT guard. He has played with spot up shooters at the point his whole career. He has no clue how to be effective as a spot up player, or a coming off screens type player. I know Nash is old and banged up…. but its the same idea. PUT THIS GREAT PASSER NEXT TO KOBE! No, Kobe is the primary ball handler, like MJ and Pippen were for the Bulls, like LBJ and Wade are for the Heat.

Meditated StatesParticipantI see their personalities clashing, but who cares it will be LA’s problem. C’s would pull the trigger for Dwight I bet. See Ray Allen for my example. Made Ray’s life easier and helped him set that record with timely passes, but their personalities clashed.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYeah I agree rondo has a toxic personality and I doubt Kobe would want to clash with another superstar; will dwight stay?

Meditated StatesParticipantA allstar game a few years back where the Celtics and Miami made up almost the whole east. Every player on the team had a teamate there except Dwight. The C’s sitting in one corner with hate looking at Miami while Miami was doing the same. You could see Dwight in a corner by himself and Doc walked over and stayed where Dwight was and talked with him. Could happen. In fact I thought it would. Time will tell.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYeah but I’m not sure Dwight knows what he wants to do

Sewok15ParticipantI am guessing they are more interested in Rondo for the post Kobe years. It seems like Howard will most likely be gone so they are getting another young player they can build around. Kobe plays a similar game to Paul Pierce and they have worked well together in the past so on the court it should work but bringing in any other big personality into LA locker room most likely won’t work in the short term. That is why Gasol was such a great fit…he played like a superstar but acted like a role player. Kobe needs to be the alpha dog and he will be until he retires…I doubt this deal happens.

3 No Biases 3ParticipantI agree Kobe and Rondo would not mesh well…in reality Pierce and him don’t mesh too well because both are ball dominant players and Kobe is much more ball dominant than Pierce..
I honestly always wanted the Celtics to get Howard to play with Rondo…
Rondo has really only had one decent center who can finish (a near 40 year old Shaq).. He averaged nearly 15 assists when he played with him…
I just hope if he does get traded, I wanna see Rondo play with other big time athletes who can get out and run…would be fun to watch..

Meditated StatesParticipantAnd Dwight on the Celtics is what it should be. Their games are perfect for the other. Dwight would enjoying playing with Rondo more than any other player. Rondo would inflate his numbers and add years to his career. Easy scoring for Howard. Wish the C’s could team those two. Just don’t see how.
