Lebron’s HairlineParticipantAnyone else going for Michigan? I just like Trey Burkes game and his ability to control a game and hold onto the ball in the final minutes.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:06pm #744056
HaleParticipantI’m rooting for Michigan too, this is one of the 1st games I’ve actually been pumped to watch this year.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:14pm #744061
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYeah I know, GR3 and Oladipo going at it will be fun to watch, I also want to see how Burke makes his moves when Victor is on him
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:16pm #744062
FastAndFuriousParticipantIm going for Michigan, but I want to see how Burke will play if Oladipo guards him, Burke is good in the pick and roll, but has a hard time shaking his defenders in isolation plays.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:20pm #744064
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYeah that’s really his only weakness, if he can develop or show potential of good ISO moves, he will be top 10
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:23pm #744067
FastAndFuriousParticipantAgreed
I said that’s his only knock to me as well, he doesn’t operate well in ISO situations, but I do believe he’s the best PG in college.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:26pm #744068
FastAndFuriousParticipantIndiana jumpe out to an early 20-7 lead!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:30pm #744070
LazarusMunozParticipantWOW that move by Oladipio was nasty!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:36pm #744071
LazarusMunozParticipantIs Oladipio the best player in the country right now??? He has to be in the discussion…nobody plays both sides of the floor better than him
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:36pm #744074
FastAndFuriousParticipantOladipo is going to be an absolute steal at the next level, his potential is off the charts.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:38pm #744075
HadzialijagicParticipantOladipo won’t make it out of the lottery
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:12pm #744093
Dale WorthingtonParticipantHe and Lorenzo Brown are the most bizarre projected 2nd round picks I’ve ever seen.
Both need to go in The Lottery.

akhan786ParticipantNo doubt in my mind Indiana is the #1 team in the country. Too many pieces too much depth. Though his stats don’t show it, Cody Zeller IS the best big man in the nation.
My pick for the national champion.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:09pm #744091
Dale WorthingtonParticipantI hope that IU drops to a 2 or 3 seed so very few people end up picking them to win it all (obviously most people just go with a 1 seed) b/c there is a very strong chance I, too, will pick them to go all the way.
Quality play at the point, wing, and post. Big time combo of athleticism and shooting ability. That’s a team that’s built to go all the way.

- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:41pm #744073
MkadozaParticipantI hoping Zeller goes nuts so people on this site can stop questioning how good he is.
Meanwhile Oladipo is gonna get a lot of looks in the second round.
Edit- Oladipo is looking like Shumpert on a team with better talent than Georgia Tech.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:46pm #744077
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantTrey Burke needs to SLOW down, he’s doing too much
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:48pm #744076
festar35ParticipantAlways back Indiana! Hoping Oladipo plays another outstanding game.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:49pm #744079
MkadozaParticipantZeller needs to put his goddamn hands up when he’s posting up. He doesn’t make himself a big enough target or demand the ball enough. He should be touching the ball 15 times a half, not 7 or 8.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:59pm #744083
aamir543ParticipantTrey Burke is a baaaaaaad man.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:59pm #744081
FastAndFuriousParticipantBIG shot by Burke!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:59pm #744080
MkadozaParticipantCrazy putback dunk by Zeller.
And a huge three pointer by Burke when he was in a shooting slump.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 4:59pm #744082
HaleParticipantBurke wow
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:02pm #744084
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI take that back about his lack of ISO moves, his stepback was Durant-esque
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:03pm #744086
MkadozaParticipantI dont know about yall, but Tim Hardaway Jr has been extremely disappointing to me this first half. Looks tentative and lacks confidence in his play thus far.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:05pm #744088
FastAndFuriousParticipantTim Hardaway is shook by Oladipo, that’s why.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:07pm #744085
Kyrie IrvingTrey Burke is the best player in the country. No hi ranked team gets more contribution from a single player than Michigan from Trey Burke. Without Burke I don’t know how good they would be…. imagine they had Ryan Harrow, how hi would they be ranked?
Anyone saw Burke play defense?0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:09pm #744089
For_Never_EverParticipantThat was a nice put back dunk, but I haven’t seen anything that stands out with Zeller in this game.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:10pm #744092
Dale WorthingtonParticipantHe’s a 7-footer who runs like a deer. Works perfectly for an up-tempo team.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:18pm #744095
For_Never_EverParticipantEvery draft usually have at least a couple of big guys that can run like a deer, but I haven’t seen anything else that really translate yet in this game.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:18pm #744098
MkadozaParticipantTake note of that post up turn around jumper.
0
- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:14pm #744094
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYou would expect more out of a potential #1 pick though, I want to see Zeller demand the ball in the paint and feast on the low block instead of these cuts to the baskets as in the NBA the big men are much bigger and athletic
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:18pm #744096
Dale WorthingtonParticipantYou would expect more out of all the potential #1 picks this year. This draft class is weaksauce.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:23pm #744104
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantSame thing was said about the 2011 class yet guys like Faried, Leonard, and Irving are young studs
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:24pm #744105
Kyrie IrvingI honestly believe Kelly Olynyk would outplay Zeller.
Even though Cody is a better prospect.0

HaleParticipantThe stars are shining tonight, this is great to watch.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:23pm #744102
FastAndFuriousParticipantGlad I recorded this game, GREAT GAME!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:27pm #744107
LazarusMunozParticipantAmazing the Burke was rated so low coming out of high school…Dude has ice water in his veins and dosent look like anything fazes him
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:29pm #744101
For_Never_EverParticipantThat was a nice turn around jumper. That pick and cut towards the rim giving him a dunk was more Michigan defensive collapse fault then anything.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:40pm #744109
For_Never_EverParticipantWhatever his name is shocked me with that drive towards the rim and dunk.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:47pm #744115
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantOh god(big sean voice) I had flashbacks of DWade with that almost alley oop to Oladipo
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:49pm #744111
For_Never_EverParticipantBurks reminds of Kemba Walker a bit. He is just a tad shorter.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:50pm #744112
akhan786ParticipantIf Oladipo made that alley I would’ve sh!t my pants…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:52pm #744116
BigChamp12ParticipantOladipo literally just stopped me mid-conversation! If only he would’ve made that dunk!
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:52pm #744117
Kyrie Irving“If only he would’ve made that dunk”, it would’ve been dunk of the year!

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWho’s the better athlete: Cody Zeller or Mason Plumlee? Both are 6’11 235
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:04pm #744121
BigChamp12ParticipantCody is pretty athletic, but Mason is a different conversation! He has BOUNCE!
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:11pm #744124
akhan786ParticipantPlumlee may have more bounce but I’m pretty sure Plumlee is an inch shorter than Zeller and he has a less than average wingspan.
All of the Plumlees have TRex arms lol.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 7:36pm #744139
mikeyvthedonParticipantMiles Plumlee actually was measured with a longer wingspan and standing reach than Tyler Zeller last year. Remember that Cody Zeller and Marshall Plumlee both were measured as having wingspans well below their height at a camp a few years ago. Guessing Cody and Mason have fairly similar dimensions, even if Cody is a bit taller.
Mason is more than likely the better athlete in the conventional sense, just does not have close to the touch or ability that Zeller has. I know Mason has had a great season, just think even with his athleticism, Zeller has much more of a feel for the game as well as a higher NBA ceiling. The Zeller bros. are flat out more skilled than the more athletic bros. Plumlee, but they all have T-Rex arms.

BigChamp12ParticipantYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Zeller just got up!!!!! That one hand put back was Nizzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaastyyyyyyy! Sorry guys, but this is an incredible game!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 5:59pm #744120
For_Never_EverParticipantNot to take anything away from Zeller two put back dunks, but Michigan having another defensive collapses not boxing out.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:09pm #744122
BigChamp12ParticipantEven though they wont win this game, I really like Trey Burke! Really really like Trey Burke… His poise, size, handle, demeanor, defense, shot, even his hair! I think he’s a future star pg in the league.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:10pm #744125
Lebron’s HairlineParticipantHe def has the intangibles to succeed at the next level
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:10pm #744123
For_Never_EverParticipantThat was a stupid shot by Burks.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:13pm #744128
Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantEarlier, I saw people mentioning Tim Hardaway Jr. being disappointing in the first half, to me, it looked as if he was just playing in the game. In the first half burke was taking tons of ill-advised shots. Hardaway was just moving the ball as he always does, one of the knocks on him.. ‘No killer instinct,” well in the 2nd half he had a great performance and Burke added a few more ill-advised shots. I like Burke, I love his game, but I think he’s better when he’s passing first and then scoring. Like CP3.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:14pm #744126
For_Never_EverParticipantI never knew Michigan uses Robinson Jr to defend every position like they have in this game.
0- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:17pm #744131
Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantHe didn’t show up tonight on the offensive end, but I think he should come back, next year and maybe move down to the 2, and guard only 2’s and 3’s and see how he does. Love Lil Big Dog’s potential, but he’s been playing out of position offensively and defensively all year.

BigChamp12ParticipantLOL Dickie V said Mitch McGary would be on his “All- Wide Team”
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 6:24pm #744132
For_Never_EverParticipantZeller is kinda like a emotionless vampire to me, with his very pale skin and unusual very red lips.
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/03/2013 - 5:43am #744168
mcbaileyParticipantIt’s hilarious to me that your only purpose here seems to be tearing down Cody Zeller. He played a great game.
0
- Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 7:38pm #744140
raybeasParticipantthat the last few seconds are not the time to try your contest-type dunks. He’ll start a fight with that at the next level.
Having said that, he was the best player on the court tonight. GR3 wanted no part of him, and Burke could only take 25 footers with Vic guarding him. A better pass on that alley-oop would have brought the house down. I’d love to see a matchup of Oladipo vs McLemore.
Zeller could only manage 19 and 9 with two blocks. What the hell is wrong with that kid? Why can’t he ever show up in big games. Guys who can hit with either hand with touch around the basket and run the floor like he can are 12 for ten cents in college. Maybe if he was more tan, he could play better ball.*
*Sarcasm alert*
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/02/2013 - 9:45pm #744150
SiggyParticipantGreat game. Indiana was the favorite for a good reason. Assembly Hall is a very tough place to play at, definitely the toughest place to play at in the B1G IMO. To win there, the road team has to be 10 points better than IU.
Oladipo was great as usual. That inside out dribble on his drive and dunk was nasty. He’s a bit right hand dominant, but he’s shown some real flashes of slashing ability. He’s a legit 2 way player now. I think he’ll start getting some late lotto mentions soon and I’d have no problem with that.
Zeller was the constant in the game for Indiana. Even if he’s not getting his touches he can still impact the game just by running the floor, moving off the ball, making himself available and cleaning up mistakes on the o-glass.
Yogi helped set the tone with his 2 early 3’s. His shot is coming along nicely. I thought he did a great job handling the ball and distributing. Give him 2 more yrs and I think he’ll be the best PG in college ball.
Burke was up and down, scoring in bursts. Indy was going under all the screens and suckered him into being more of a scorer (seems to be a common theme in B1G play vs Michigan) than a passer and he took the bait. He needs to do a better job collapsing the D instead of shooting so many jumpers off the bounce. Technically, that is the correct play when the defense goes under all the time, but he’s still gotta mix it up. Indy did a great job switching up the looks and keeping fresh bodies on him. By my count, Trey was guarded by 5 different players.
GR3 was a huge disappointment. Usually he manages to be a factor on at least 1 end of the floor, but he was bad on both ends tonight. It’ll be tempting especially with sites putting him in the lotto, but he’s a player who I think needs to come back to improve his perimeter skill. He’s been fairly productive but I think a lot of that has to do with him being an afterthought on offense after Trey, THJr and Stauskas. He at least needs to improve his handle so he’s not relegated to being a Ronnie Brewer type.
Stauskas had an off night. That won’t happen often. Maybe he was rattled by the atmosphere. Neutral site, I doubt he goes 1-5 from 3. He’s too good of a shooter. Michigan needed one of the freshmen to be a 3rd scorer and neither he nor GR3 showed up.
McGary was impressive. His combination of soft hands and good feet is very intriguing. His defense has been surprising and he has the hands, physicality and motor to be a top notch rebounder (per 40 he’s getting like 15 boards). I won’t go so far as to say he’s a future lotto lock, but I think he’ll be taken in the teens whenever he declares. Morgan’s not a great player but he does a good job setting screens, rolling and presenting a target. McGary made up for what they didn’t have in Morgan a little, but I think if Morgan were healthy Michigan would’ve been able to use their 2 big lineups instead of rolling with GR3 the entire game.
