    Four team blockbuster trade;

    Raptors gets: Granger, Hibbert, Bayless

    Pacers gets: Calderon, Fernandez, Prince

    Blazers gets: Jerebko and Hamilton

    Detroit gets Ford, Bellineli, Dorsey and Pryzbilla

    With this trade the Raptors get young players for the ”Boshless” era. A raw center who will get the playing time to develop without any veteran pressure, a SF who has Allstar potential and injury prone at the same time, a young backup point guard who can develop into a primary point guard in the future if well coached.

    The Pacers get a proven successful back court in the Spaniard duo of Calderon and Fernandez. They get rid of a long term engagement (Danny Granger’s contract) for a less expensive contract (Jose Calderon) saving in total just with this trade the Päcers save $20.7 millions until 2013-2014 season. Getting rid of TJ Ford was a priority that they achieve in acquiring Prince expiring contract.

    Blazers get a backup power forward in Jerebko and a good backup to Roy in Hamilton. With acquisition of Hamilton, Roy could and up playing point for a bigger back court impact at times giving the Blazers more versatility.

    Pistons get to trade the two most heaviest contracts on their roster for a good center in Pryzbilla,a less expensive SG in Bellineli, a backup point guard with a different style of play in Ford and and a young enforcer but also disposable contract in Dorsey

    The Pacer and the Pistons were not aiming for the playoff anyways this year so by trading big contracts they get to save some money and prepare them self on the road to a rebuilding franchise.

    The Raptors and the Blazers made it clear that they want to compete for a championship title and get whatever reasonable trade to achieve this goal. With these trades they get to pay more money and risk big by getting these players(Hamilton and Granger) but it’s a doggy dogg world and high risks could lead to high rewards.

    Bryan Colangelo would surely keep his job if he could turn belinelli, calderon, and dorsey into Danny Granger, Jerryd Bayless, and Roy Hibbert

    trade is awful.

      Can you elaborate on why this trade is awful. I know this is your opinion and I respect it but can you provide me with more substance sustaining your position.

      Sometimes I feel like the NBA and is fans work hand in hand to discredit the city of Toronto and the Canadian fan base it withhold.

      If it’s not American it ain’t sh*t!? Wright?

    Bishop I wasn’t saying anything negative about your city, all i was saying was that you are obviously a Raptor fan if you think that trade is anywhere near fair for all of the teams involved.

    Think about it (this is the part where I backup my opinion), do you think the Raptors would seriously be able to get Granger, Bayless, and Hibbert for a backup PG (calderon) a backup 2-guard (Belinelli) and their 4th string power forward (Dorsey)

    why would the pacers ever get rid of their star player in granger and the guy they see as the c of the future in hibbert. not even getting an elite starter back. calderon and fernandez are 6th/7th men on championship teams.
