It's time to give Brad Beal some credit
And to think his percentages are going to go up with Wall back, watching Wall and Beal is exciting, throw in a guy like bazz at the three and you have a deadly fast break team
If they could get a good-sized athletic SF who can knock down outside shots (think Glen Robinson III) they would be so fun to watch.
I'm know this is optimistic but Wall, Wiggins, And Beal would be absolutely lethal! It would be a new lob city in the NBA. GR3 is a best and I think will stay another year to showcase his talent with Burke and Hardaway gone
The last 10 games with wall they are 9-1 (going back to last season) , and 5-28 without him.
I am still baffled by people saying he doesn't have a huge impact and doesn't make teammates better.
Like I said, he just needed Wall to run with him. It's difficult to be the primary scorer as a 19-20 year old in this league and now with a lot of the pressure off of Beal, Wall can not only help create for him directly, but Beal now has a guy he can play off of, which is his strength.
You're right, it's pretty apparent that Beal does much better with someone to play off.
I'm glad to see Beal doing better, what he's doing now is what I was expecting of him at the beginning of this season.
I've defended Beal all season. Glad someone's giving him some credit. Everyone just kept saying " oh his form just looks good but it's never going in". the timing was perfect though Beal starting getting hot right before Wall's return
"Credit". This is for you.
I will admit, I didn't see the shot creation skill of an elite two guard, but he's a knockdown shooter.
i think that with the exception of lillard its gonna be hard to tell how these rookies fair in the league, even AG, i mean a few have potential to be stars but it might take a little longer to see who is a star and who is just a good player
Good post. Too many people are quick to kick a player when he isn't playing well, but give him no credit when he is playing well.
Beal has been lights out most of Jan. He's confident and shooting the ball really well, and this started before Wall returned.
I've gotten to watch Beal play twice up close and I've been impressed both times. I can't believe he's only 19 years old. He's strong, poised, mature and just plays the game the right way. He's not the best at getting his own off of the dribble yet, but like a Paul George... He can improve.
This kid is a keeper. People act like he was going through an Austin Rivers type shooting slump before this month.

I've sat back and watched almost the entire forum turn against him after his rough start to the year. People starting wondering whether he was just an imaginary good shooter and knocked him left and right. Well I've waited and now he's finally showing why he got taken #3 overall.
So far in the month of January he's averaging 18.8 ppg on 46.3% shooting, and hitting 61% from deep and only averaging 1.4 topg. Oh and since John Wall has returned Beal is averaging roughly 20 ppg on shooting 57% from the field and 67% from deep, not to mention by the end of tonight they could be 3-1 when Wall plays compared to 5-28 without him. Beal is for real, and it's time he got some credit on this site for once.
