    The fight — well, what passes for a fight in the NBA, Jason Terry pushed Steve Blake, they bumped chests, Matt Barnes came flying in to play protector, there was a lot more pushing  — was Thursday night, but the war of words has continued into Friday.

    Mark Cuban blasted Chris Webber over calling the team soft.

    Then Jason Terry went on the Colin Cowherd show on ESPN and took a shot at the third-man in, Matt Barnes (via The Sports Grid).

    “That is a guy who is as soft as Charmin toilet paper,” Terry said.

    Barnes has not responded, which is wise because he’s almost certainly got a suspension coming from the league as it is. But as Janis Carr pointed out at the Orange County Register, Barnes may already have responded through his clothing line.

    Seems like Jason Terry is just a sore loser to me.

    Nah…..Matt Barnes comes off to me as a "wanna be" tough guy, and hitting on his wife just put icing on the cake.

    have they announced suspensions? If barnes gets suspended, then terry has to get the same suspension in my eyes. Both of them shoved guys in the back, only difference was barnes did it to protect a teammate while terry did it to be dirty.

    and if barnes is soft, hes been faking it for a very long time. He was doing that stuff at ucla getting suspended for shoving guys and didnt back down to anyone.

    Matt Barnes may be a fake tough guy, but I disreguard any comment made by a Dallas Maverick about toughness of any kind. Especially one that was on that 06′ finals team.

    What exactly makes someone a fake tough guy in Y’alls opinion though?..has he done something to make him seem like a fake tough guy? I’m not saying he’s tough but if you say he’s a fake tough guy thats based on what?

    How the hell is Matt Barnes a fake tough guy?  He steps up to anybody and backs it up by playing tough D and playing very physical.  Matt Barnes is one of the tougher guys in the NBA.

    Barnes is not a fake tough guy…he never backs down and always stands up for his teammates.  I would take him on my team anyday of the week.

    Nah Matt Barnes is a cool dude.  I got to chat wit him a bit back when he played in Philly for a minute.  Dude is a class act who is also willing to go to the depths of hell for his squad.  I love his game and character.  He’s one of my favorite NBA players.

    Even tough guys are cool off the court. i remember meeting Mike Tyson when he was boxing and he was real cool. you’ll never find a tough guy who is tough all the time that would make no sense

    Lake show2 im not sayin he isn’t tough.  I was just sayin he’s a cool dude too if you think thats what I meant.  I love his willingness to make a statement and fight for his teammates.  Thats the type of guy I want on my squad.  Loyal player and that is what Barnes is.

    plenty of guys ahve had a chance to hit matt barnes and havent reallly done much. that should tell u sumthin. i dont think its so much him being a tough guy. i think its more of him just knowing how to get into another guys head. hes smart about how he goes about his business. Of course it doesnt always work(him pump fakin the ball at kobes face in the finals) but hey at least he won thave any regrest when he leaves the game for good
