Jeff Demps wants NFL shot
HOOPSWORLD recently overhauled the trade history page, which dates back to 2006. As it was being updated, some trades that included future draft picks at the time turned out to be surprisingly significant based on who was drafted. With that in mind we decided to breakdown some of the more interesting players who were selected with picks that originally belonged to other teams.
Dallas Mavericks – Missing out on the superstar sweepstakes this summer didn’t help the media perception of the Mavs. Per usual, Dallas isn’t a trendy pick to do much in the stacked Western Conference heading into the season but the talent assembled on this team would beg to differ.
This isn’t O’Neal’s first jab at Howard. When O’Neal played for the Cavaliers, he told reporters he’s the “real Superman,” in reference to Howard’s occasional imitations of the comic book superhero. O’Neal then went out and played perhaps his best game with Cleveland.
The Houston Rockets tied up one more piece of unfinished business on Saturday night, trading disgruntled Kevin Martin to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal that landed James Harden in Houston. The Rockets also send Jeremy Lamb and future draft considerations to Oklahoma City. The Thunder also send Cole Aldrich, Daequan Cook and Lazar Hayward to Houston in the trade.09790708
