FastAndFuriousParticipantSteppin up and playin good so far, hope he can do this next year, so he can prove himself in a full season.
On the other hand wonder if the Rose fans, will chew Rose out for having 8+ turnovers like they do every time Russell Westbrook turns the ball over.

Scottoant93ParticipantYes he has stepped up, hopefully he can be more consistant next season, Hawks need a reliable pg.
Rose turnovers are unacceptable just as westbrooks stupid shot selection and turnovers. No one is denying thier talents, but westbrook needs to play more controlled since he has a superstar next to him.

DanEboyParticipantWe get it, you are a Westbrook fan. Rose is clearly trying too hard tonight, especially since Boozer is complete garbage. Not his best game but he still has 22-6-9 and the Bulls are winning.
Teague is a special player and the Hawks never traded him for a reason.

R-Dot-13ParticipantRose also has no business being 1-8 from the 3pt line.

FastAndFuriousParticipantAnd shooting 9-25, no its just when Rose does the exact same thing nobody says anything just keep it fair
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:21pm #528505
DanEboyParticipantIt’s not the exact same thing. Rose HAS to be the guy to take all of those shots. Tonight, his selection has been bad but it is not the same situation as Westbrook, who has a 30 point scorer next to him.

Scottoant93ParticipantAlso if the bulls get a legit starting sg then rose wouldnt need to shoot as much, but since they dont what do you expect. He has improved his 3 point shooting, next season i think it will be in full motion and more consistant

FastAndFuriousParticipantAnd like always here goes the excuses lol im done
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:24pm #528509
Scottoant93Participant8-21 shooting from westbrook durant 13-21. rose as DanEboy and i have stated doesnt have a star he has to be the man, Westbrook also ignores his teammates something rose doesnt do. Theyre both ELITE talents no is denying that, its like people are saying westbrook is a bust and garbage player, relax

DanEboyParticipantHa….how is it an excuse? Boozer can’t even dunk anymore. Deng is his only other real option. Noah creates for himself off of put backs and hustle. Keep giving yourself a +1 for every post.
Oh and Rose just nailed a dagger into the Hawks….again.

KayjayParticipantYou guys should pay more attention to the game. The Hawks have completely shot themselve’s out of this game.

Scottoant93ParticipantWho here thinks Westbrook Sucks? I just want to know because apparently thats what youngdave is hearing
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:29pm #528514
DanEboyParticipantWatching the game……the Bulls defense is forcing a lot of bad shots. The Hawks are a team that can’t play from behind, that has been the story for them all season.

mgreener_34ParticipantWho would you rather have taking shots Thabo, Ibaka, and Perkins, or Deng, Boozer, and Noah?…Yeah I don’t care if Westbrook has Durant to pass to, because Rose doesn’t exactly play with scrubs you know. And this thread was more about Teague who has played great tonight, and could possibly turn into a good starter.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:32pm #528517
KayjayParticipantGo hand in hand. This will probably end up like the Orlando series though. Its 50/50 for both of these teams to come out of the semi’s alive.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI know yall dont think he suck, its when he plays terrible people make threads so quick, talk about trading him, saying there’s no way Rose and Westbrook are in the same sentence don’t act like yall don’t go crazy when Westbrook plays bad.
All i’m sayin is Derrick Rose just won MVP and went 11-27 2-7 in game 1 and went 10-27 and 1-8 from three with 8 to’s in game 2 and NOTHING at all is said.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:34pm #528521
DanEboyParticipantI would rather have Durant taking shots than Deng, Boozer and Noah combined. What kind of argument is that?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:34pm #528523
AaronMck91ParticipantJeff Teague is a solid pg. he needs to step up n take the starting spot next year. hes really talented n very young.
D-Rose needs to make better decisions and needs to attack the basket more. Hes not a 3pt shooter right now. When he develops a consistent 3pt shot hes going to be unguardable. Sucks for every other pg that has to guard him in the future.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:34pm #528524
KayjayParticipantCan’t hate on the guy, but I see him as the new Allen Iverson. He can get assists, but there are much better facilitators and play makers in the league. Other than that, the guy is amazing. Russel Westbrook is running into a wall, every player goes through it, and its no different for him. Eventually he’ll pick up, and the Thunder are going to be the western threat we all saw they could be.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:35pm #528527
DanEboyParticipantAnd for the record youngdave, I have never made a thread or a single post bashing Westbrook. I think he is great, just in a different situation than Rose right now. So don’t say ya’ll.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:39pm #528530
JoeWolf1I like Teague, and I always have. He’s clearly bulked up a bit and is a pretty efficient player for a young guy, he doesn’t try to do too much. There is a lot to like about his game right now, I don’t know if he’ll ever be an all-star, but I think he’ll be a starter for most of his career.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:42pm #528536
Scottoant93ParticipantI know you dont mean it that way.lets just face it Rose and Westbrook are two different players, with different teams, and different mindsets. I get on rose to when he has a crappy games too, just no one ever makes a thread about it. I would love to have either of them on my team anyday.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 4:52pm #528543
Scottoant93ParticipantI have read those threads and I would never trade westbrook, and doing so is stupid considering he is still young, and I feel can still improve. Also people also have to remember he was in MVP contention too
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/04/2011 - 6:52pm #528620
AKOOParticipantShould have been starting instead of giving up essentially 2 1st rd picks for Kirk Hinrich when the Hawks need a C and a SF. Hawks management is horrible that’s the problem
