God damn. Jennings and Ellis look SO much better since Milwaukee acquired JJ Redick.

19 assists and 17 assists the past two games for Jennings I believe.

Ellis is averaging something like 24, 8, 4.5, and 4 steals per game since the acquisition.

Redick is averaging like 15.5 points per game so far.

Milwaukee has now won 4 in a row, and Ellis picked up Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors.

The big differents for me is Jennings passing. But Redick has been a big help, the scoring load is less on Monta and especially Jenning which allowes to take his time and make the wright plays and the wright play means better shot for monta elllis, him and the team. Fear the Dear

I remember when he was a dime dropping machine in high school. I always felt like he fell in love with his j after his 55 pt game his rookie year. If he goes back to using his quickness primarily to set up his teammates, he could be extra nice.
Or this could be another case of contract year-itis.

I read somewhere else that someone thought that Jennings and Ellis were starting to play so much more unselfish because with JJ in the mix, they know there’s someone else that Milwaukee could end up paying this offseason, so they actually have to earn their money now lol.

Curious to see what they do in the off season. I tend to agree with usfballer in that they all have their eyes on the contract and offseason. Redick is an unrestricted free agent and someone (Bulls have always had interest) will throw money at him, so my guess he is gone. Jenninings is a RFA, so my guess is Milwaukee matches any offer, unless it is completely outrageous and Ellis has to forfeit $11M in 2013-2014 to become a free agent. Can he really pass on that much money? That is a tough call. Milwaukee has some cap room too, so they will be busy this offseason.

Yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if Hammond tries to make another trade either. Guy loves shuffling the deck. Regardless, Milwaukee has put together a pretty nice young core. Only guys they really have long term right now are Larry Sanders, John Henson, Ersan Ilyasova, and Ekpe Udoh.

They have Gooden and Mbah A Moute for a couple more years, but I think Hammond is going to end up moving Mbah A Moute and Udoh and maybe amnesty Gooden?

Should have somewhere around $30 million in cap space to bring back Ellis, Redick, Jennings/any free agent they decide to go after. For all the shit that fans give Hammond for some of his trades, he’s actually done a pretty nice job.
