Besides his unbelievable range and stroke, there is one other main reason he will make it in the league. The kid may not be the quickest but he is straight STRONG. you can see his arms are a lot bigger than most points guards and when he does get by people he uses his body so well as to shield himself, draw contact and finish at the same time. I am somewhat worried that he is below average in the speed department but he has sneaky quickness and is stronger than a lot PG’s in the NBA right now

Jameer Nelson
He uses his body so well that if he’s not knocking down the 3, he’s punishing smaller guards as he takes them to the hoop. Not the most athletic guy, but he knows how to use his body.

To me he sounds a bit like Chauncey Billups, not overly quick but strong along with a great jumpshot.

I love his shooting ability and he can penetrate and bounce off defenders but his athleticism is a bit underwhelming for a black guard.

I think Jimmer’s quickness is actually pretty underrated. He doesn’t have the explosive first step, but he has a good enough handle that he can make a second and third move while keeping the dribble. I think a young Mike Bibby would be a good comparison.
