Who the hell is this skinny poser that was suppose to be the next KD? This guy sucks and can’t even produce on UNC in a down year where eveybody there seems to love him. He was suppose to be a one and done or two years at the most. He looks like he will be there all 4 years and maybe 5 cuz they might redshirt him next year with all the talent they will have coming in.

Somebody please if you have inside info let the world know what’s going on with this guy. Because at the rate he’s going he should be happy if he can even be the next Darius Rice. I know yall remeber him. I’m sorry but I don’t see what all the hype is about

The problem is he can’t play SF effectively right now because his skills are too raw.  He can’t get much playing time in the post with Ed Davis & Deon Thompson being much better than him as of now.  Plus Henson is way too skinny to play effectively as a PF.

You can see the potential but he has a long ways to go.  The #1 thing he needs to do is gain weight.

His shooting %’s have been absolutely terrible this season.

They won’t redshirt him.  Henson will get a lot more playing time next season.  He should make a pretty big jump in production but I have a hard time believing he will be ready for the 2011 draft. As of now I predict he will probably stay 3 years at UNC & enter the 2012 draft.

He has had some nasty blocks.  That is about the only thing I’ve been impressed with so far.

But yeah he was way overhyped coming out of highschool.  Scouts go nuts when they see a 6’10" athletic big man.  Henson just wasn’t physically ready for the college game.

he’s way too skinny and in large part unskilled in my opinion, i just think he’s got good height and he’s freakishly long … other than that, i don’t know what the hype is about

I miust say, he impressed me alot when I saw him at the McDonalds game. He showed some nice, but raw skills that most his size don’t usually show; like being able to go coast-to-coast, making nice crossovers, and dropping some nice passes to teammates. He’s too weak and too unpolished right now, but by next year or his Jr. season, he could be a nice player. Right now he’s been a defender, and a very good one when I watch closely (he’s very quick and long, so he has the tools to translate to the NBA and then some) and he’ll block your shot into the stands on occasion. But he’s the type of prospect you have to wait until later in his development to judge. He’s definitely started his career off slowly though. I’m willing to bet he gets alot better though…

Guys wait a minute.. North Carolina has been known to have reins on their freshman..Only a few have been the main focus of the offense…U can see he’s going to be a special player..Maybe he’s not having a superstar freshman year like Durant had or Walls having..He’s got to get use to the speed of the college game..I hope he doesn’t go pro..that would be a major mistake..Because i don’t think he’ll be drafted until the 2nd round..next season if he comes back after a 1 year of major college ball under his belt….And Battling Davis & Thompson in practice this year will help him alot…Next year U will see a very different player

I’m not sure why people are even convinced he’ll be ready by 2012. Or ever. There are rare, but occasional flashes of ability. He’s also got a worse frame than Jonathan Bender, and less skill.

A worse frame than Jonathan Bender? Damn, that’s like being uglier than Margaret Thatcher……

Anyways, he has really underwhelmed so far. I thought he would be a shot-blocking menace who showed the occasional one-man fast break and 18 ft. jumper, but it looks like I’ll have to wait until his junior year to see that.

he has struggled early on but last game he was their leading scorer and the game before he made a lot of clutch blocks to seal the victory vs. N.C. State. He is getting better but is still very raw. the reason for his struggles is that he has been playing mainly on the perimeter so far this year bcuz unc has ed davis and deon thompson. next year he and zeller will start down low which will make it easier for him since its his natural game.

i remeber saying during the summer that this guy is gonna need time. alot of people gave me hell on here saying hes one and done and that he was killing as a 3 in the preseason and blah blah , even though i said scrimmages dont count and that graves is better at this point. a couple of people even tried to tell me he would start by mid season and be a swis army knife type starter. as you can see the kid is raw. i do like his potential and think he can be pretty good but hes right along where i thought he would be. pretty much every freshman is where i said they would be with cousins, favors the only ones who have exceeded my expectations
