I know all of yall love basketball as much as I do and yall been seing the greatness of john wall and he should be the number 1 pick as of right now and probably by the end of the ncaa season.

But what if the nets when the lottery should they pick john wall? How would devin harris feel should they let him go.

And utah has a lottery pick from the Knicks what if they get the #1 pick what should they do i know they have a big commitment to deron williams. My opinion deron williams is the best point guard in the league but that’s another discussion.

Passing on John Wall but a huge mistake.

    I have to say this:

If I was the Nets, I would Draft Wall and Trade Harris

The way the knicks have been playing lately, odds are less likely Utah will get that #1 pick. However it’s possible, anything can happen in the lottery, as we all know.

It’s going to be interesting for sure. The nets will probably be tied with 3 wins, with the wolves after action tonight. Both of these teams have pretty good options at the PG.

      – Nets with Devin Harris, a fringe all star PG, very capable NBA pg, but not elite.

      – Twolves have a trio of options – (flynn, rubio, sessions) 3 competent Pg’s. Flynn is really starting emerge in Minnesota. Rubio won’t be here for a while, but if they took Wall, they’d have 4 NBA caliber PG’s.

I think the team that most needs John Wall, is the Indiana pacers. With Danny Granger out, and considering they have the 5th worst record in ball, they very well could land him.

If the Net’s or Wolves land wall, they should look to trade ( devin harris, flynn/rubio) to the Pacers for their pick or in some sort of package. That way both teams make out well In that scenario the Nets/Wolves dump a PG, a position of excess and the Pacers get their much needed pg.

Yeah man i like harris but wall hast he potential to be super great and people compare him to wall but i think he is a lil faster and a better scorer and he has that killer instinct that rose dont have yet. Gm’s are regretting passing on jennings so i know none of them are going to let john wall pass them.

and you would be fired qhaynes..a smart gm would draft wall and keep both and see how it works out. any one knows that no one is a sure thing to do on the nba level what they did on the college level…youre young so you never got a chance to watch a guy name mark macon
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1127020/index.htm….as a gm, business man you must make sure that when u get a product that its just as good or better then the one you have before shipping off a old product because if it doesnt pan out youre stuck with nothing…mark was a monster as a freshman doing what ever he wanted and dominating. im a big wall fan after watching him and think he might be a special talent in the nba. but i also know that the more teams watch a kid the better prepared they get when they play against them

I like wall as a player but i would not take him number 1 because how many point guards acuall lead their teams to championships? If any position should be number 1 it would be an elite 2 guard or a elite bigman they seem to be the ones winning rings not point guards just look at williams and paul. wall is good but he wont lead a team to rings he will just be a part of the puzzle. point guard play doesnt make or break teamsjust look at all of the contenders they dont have elite ppoint guard and dont say rondo cuz without all those players he would struggle

also im not sure i wouldn’t call harris elite..he is very good and all star talent and before he got hurt last year was one of the top pg in the league..he was scoring as well as dishing out alot of ast and the team was getting wins

as far as positions leading teams to title it pretty much doesnt matter which position you have if the player is good or great and he has a good team around him then it doesnt matter as far as winning a title..it can be a great pg,sg,sf,pf, or center or just a good one at each position and a great team. as far as rondo he showed that he can be good/great without kg there ..each of those players would still be good players without each other. all are peices to the puzzle because without each other none of them won a title or even got to the title game

Beanz816 rondo is an elite point guard and he is super underrated he holds the best d for a point guard leads the league in steals and is top 5 in assists and if he really wanted to score he can but he’s not fascinated by getting points most of Garnetts points come from rondo’s penetration and alley oops and ray allen gets open becaue of rondo penetration and pierce is the only one who would not struggle without rondo because he can penetrate the celtics are a playoff team without rondo they are contenders with him

I would keep Harris. I think that as talented as Wall is, what is the differentce between him and Harris? I mean they bring the exact same things to the table. I wouldn’t draft Wall at all if where the Nets. They have a more pressing need at PF, where they should look at Favors or Motiejunas…Not that Wall isn’t a great player and potentially tantalizing talent, but when you’re as bad as their record indicates, you need to fill needs 1st…

Yeah people Iguodala9 people dont know this but a number 1 pick only been a point guard twice and that was Allen Iverson and Derrick Rose and passing on wall would be a huge mistake but if the Nets win they really need a big man who can compliment Lopez so they might find someone in the draft or trade the pick

You gotta draft Wall and move Harris for another piece…I think you don’t really have any other options. Putting John Wall at SG is just limiting his potential to impact games. Him and Devin Harris would likely not mesh. Unless Harris and Wall came out directly to me (if I’m the GM) and said they wanted to play together I’d give it a chance. But both need the ball in there hands to do what they can do best.

While Devin Harris is very, very good when healthy. He’s also 27 (not old, but not young like John Wall…) and semi-injury prone. He has a great contract though that would be easy to move. You could get alot for Harris, at positions you need. Maybe a SF or PF?

But yes I believe if you’re the Nets and get the top pick you really have no other options. In terms of making your team better and what the fans would expect.

you would only trade harris if he plays better then wall..you dont trade harris without knowing if wall is gonna pan out to being as good as harris

honestly, nj has a predicament if they win the lotto.even if wall has lebron, wade, kobe potential.can you imagine having lopez and aldrich or favors? they could be twin towers part 2.
