LionsInHeat you sseriously have to work on your mock. You have Biyambo going 1st, Noguiera 9th, Knight 12th, Harris 14th, Rck Jackson 29th, Mccamey 30th, Travis Leslie 56th?

ok the Wolves need a big man, a defensive one and Kahn makes weird moves so Biyombo is the guy.The Bobcats sort of need a center though you’re probably right, maybe Tristan Thompson instead.Ive been up and down on Knight he sort of fell due to fit.Tobias and Mccamey are sleepers in my eyes both slept on obviously due to their lateral quickness but both had good seasons and are gym rats supposely.Leslie ya you’re right about that though im not high on him.

That’s the first time I heard someone comment on someone’s mock when the original poster did not ask for it.

The Wolves do need a center but Kanter is more likely to go first than Biyombo is. You say McCamey is a sleeper and I would normally agree with you but this year he did nothing but lower his stock. He’s a second round pick for sure unless he does really well in workouts. Wait until those happen and then you can see who really steps up. You never know who does so until then its just speculation and your bettter off to just wait and see. People are sleeping on Harris though I agree, but again wait to see what he does in workouts. You may or may not need to move Harris or McCamey but you definitely need to move Knight and Biyombo. Like I said, Kanter and Valanciunas both have a better chance at being the first pick than Biyombo does and both of them are Centers. (Have you been listening to David Thorpe?) Irving will be a top 2 pick for sure, so since the Kings really need a PG (If they wait any longer they’re going to miss getting the PG they need. They have a really talented team; I’m sure once they find their PG they will make the Playoffs!) unless they get a top 2 pick, they will select Knight or Kemba even if they have the 5th pick just to compensate for missing out on Irving. Besides both Knight and Kemba increased their stock because of marvelous tournament performances.

Yes! Kyrie is 2nd and i dont think the Kings need a point guard,Tyreke was almost a walking triple double in the second half of his rookie year,Knight’s only advantage over Marcus is that he is a lil quicker he may turn out the better player but they are basically clones of eachother though Brandon is 4 years younger whatever.Kemba may turn out to be a stud, but really what i think he will be is Tony Parker who wouldnt be a good fit with Tyreke. Defensive bigs are so valuable so Hassan or Thompson or even Valanciunas could be used as trade bait if needed.

"Have you been listening to David Thorpe?" That was actually a big hint to stop listening to him. You really need to read BTPH’s comment when he just ripped that to shreds. Like I said both Jonas and Kanter have a better chance of going 1st than Biyombo does and they too are centers.

    1.  Tyreke needs the ball in his hands in order to be effective therefore he needs someone to get him the ball. That would be the point guard.
    2.  He is a good passer but the reason why he is getting so many assists with the Kings is because the Kings have no one else to go to as far as passing.
    3.  The Kings are actually a very talented team with DMC, Tyreke and now Marcus Thornton, so they should be close to making the playoffs. Yet they have the 5th worst record overall. Part of the blame is on the coach but another part of the blame is on the fact that they don’t have a true PG. There’s a reason why the PG position is one of the most valuable positions in the game of basketball.

Both Kemba and Knight are improving their passing games so either could actually work with Tyreke. I would say more so Knight because it seems Kemba is more of a scoring PG than a true PG. Knight isn’t also much of a passer, but it is improving. Other than Irving, he’s the best that is available, and they do need a PG. They cannot afford to wait.

    4. I’m telling you the Kings cannot afford to wait another year for thier PG. The reason why I say this is because the fans have waited to long. They want success. (there’s a reason why they almost moved to Anaheim) To me success means playoffs, and like I said the Kings have the talent to make it, but that PG position being so weak is what’s going to keep them from making it until they fix it.

If the Kings do not get a top 2 pick then they will either trade up for Irving or they will compensate with either Knight or Kemba. Neither may not work with Tyreke but they will make it work, they need a PG that badly.

     Fixed the biyombo thing.

Yea im not going to win this debate about the Kings point guard issue,Tyreke was Stephen Jackson in disguise due to foot issues and other shit i think that made him pretty unefficent but i agree Knight is a great fit. He techinally isnt a good defender though hes young, still say he makes Marcus worthless, though they could go Knight Thornton Tyreke in their back court i guess, just i still believe in Zohan Casspi. I wouldnt mind Petrie drafting Knight,Kemba, or even The Jimmer but it would mean the end of Casspi in Sactown most likely :(.

If te kings get the first pick they probably is going to take Dontas or Jonas. cause they need a big man and with tyreke taking it in for the mid-range shot or the lay up he would have one of them to dish out to for the shot.

Kings shouldn’t take Donatas, with Cousins so prone to foul trouble they’d need a guy who can anchor the D and still play significant minutes. Motie is a primarily offensive player, I think he’d be an awful fit in Sacramento.

Donatas does not work at all. I could see them taking Valanciunas but I think Knight would be the appripriate pick.

actually LionsinHeat the Kings drafting a PG may not be the end of Casspi starting. Thornton could come off the bench as their sixth man. The Kings will certainly need a sixth man if they want to make the playoffs, and Thornton would be a great candidate. This could be their lineup:

    • Irving or Knight or Walker/Beno Udrih
    • Tyreke/Thornton
    • Casspi
    • Thompson
    • Cousins

yea but still Thornton and Casspi would be splittiing time :(,whatever that is probably whats going to happen anyway, Ive swaded the Maloofs once with the Martin trade lol but Geoff Petrie can make his own decision.

Idk if will even be with the kings next year, He has stated he if frustrated by his lack of playing time, and wouldn’t mind moving on. I can see them trading him on draft day

If they can get him I’d focus on Derrick Williams, he would fill the hole at the 3, provide extra rebounding and distance shooting, plus seems very coachable and hard-working. You could see what Tyreke, Williams and Thornton could do together. That’s a very solid young group, with admittedly no set PG, but I’d rather fill the immediate need at SF than draft Knight. Yes, there are a number of good options at the SF in the next draft, but the Kings can’t afford to hang around the bottom of the lottery anymore with the threat of moving so should go into win-now mode if possible, giving Thornton and Reke an off-season together, and hopefully re-signing Dalembert for a reasonable sum. Then, if Adelman can be enticed to coach them, they should be well on their way to winning basketball.
