TarHeelRavenParticipantI’m sure most of you have seen the pictures of Jordan dunking at his “Flight School” camp in Santa Barbara, California. Obviously Jordan isn’t in the shape he was in his prime, but it doesn’t surprise me that one of the greatest athletes ever at age 50 can still dunk. Do you guys think that other past greats like Pippen, Malone, Hakeem and Sir Charles who are all around Jordan’s age can still jam?

kazamParticipantDavid Robinson looks like he is still an in his prime NBA player so I imagine he can still dunk.

rabidsnowmanParticipantIs 6’4 3/4″ tall. At his weight, it’s pretty much impossible to dunk.
The others don’t surprise me all that much. Being 50 isn’t as old as it sounds, if you’re an athlete and keep in shape. Go a few years further back, then I’d really be impressed if the ~60 year olds can dunk. Julius Erving…can he still dunk?
Yes he can.

JoeWolf1Chuck is still a great athlete, he benched 415 lbs on camera at age 50.

TallmanNYCParticipantTrue Chuck is a freak athlete. But if he is near 300 pounds I don’t think even he can dunk at 50.

JoeWolf1Haha, true, I’m not sure he could dunk his last year with Houston. I’m pretty sure he was fatter than he is now.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantMarques Johnson tries to dunk every year on his birthday. Dunked last year at 56. Skip to 2:55 if you just want to see the dunk, but the whole thing is pretty entertaining.

He did it much easier the previous year, every year starts taking its toll on your body after 40.

TallmanNYCParticipantKarl Malone is such a fitness nut that not only can he still dunk. I suspect he could still play in the NBA if he wanted to. I’m sure he still doesn’t have any fat on him and I bet he hasn’t even missed many workouts i the last ten to fifteen years.
