Oh c’mon, I’m very dissapointed. I mean Kentucky had the best class anyway, why couldn’t he have gone to another team to make things more interesting?

You forgot PF Derek Willis in this year’s class.

He is a rivals top 150 player.

Seems to me that some of the kids that said they would hold off on the NBA might rethink things with these 7 guys coming in.

Noel is likely the only one that is for sure gone but can you imagine a roster with those 7 mentioned above along with Harrow, Poythress, Goodwin, Wiltjer and Cauley-Stein?

I’m by no means a Kentucky hater, I love watching that team play every year with all of their pro prospects, but I’m kind of bummed he chose Kentucky. UK is gonna be sooo stacked next year if some of the guys from this years team actually do come back for next year. Woulda liked to see him choose Florida or NC State to be honest. Would have been cool to see him and Jabari Parker battle it out for top freshman honors in the ACC.

That being said, good god! UK just keeps getting these studs. Imagine if Wiggins goes there too, they would potentially have like 8 first round draft picks next year. I think Randle will be a beast at UK as he’s the top recruit in the UK class too, just would have liked to see him go somewhere else

I think it’s safe to say Wiggins isn’t going to Kentucky. That would be too unfair and there wouldn’t be enough playing time to go around. It would be awesome if he went to UNC. Just imagine the Duke-UNC rivalry next year, Wiggins vs. Parker. But I have a feeling deep down that he’s going to Florida State.

“I think it’s safe to say Wiggins isn’t going to Kentucky”
I said before it was safe to say Julius wasn’t going to UK with so much talent coming in, plus players who might return.
      .
Cal. is hitting Wiggins right now with this line…… ‘Do you want to hands down make the best team college basketball has ever seen, come!”

I understand you guys… but I’m not agree.
you’re saying it’s disappointing cause it makes things less interesting ?…

I don’t think so. If Goodwin Poythress Noel were so good they would not be in the NIT… and they would not be in Holiday right now… They were just overhyped as HS prospects were once upon a time before “busting” in the NBA benchs.

I just think this is a bad decision for the players (Goodwin and so on AND randle) but it doesn’t kill competition. Players won’t be as good (and won’t develop) as they should (lack of playing time KILLS) and the team play, the team chemistry shouldn’t be so upgraded that they will be unbeatable.

From another point of view, I think players should look more at gaining playing time while they can in the NCAA (small programs where they will be stars as curry and lillard or average teams in a good momentum or Big programs but with a balanced roster) before being benched in the NBA or playing poorly on bad teams.

I’m really not sold on that “1 and done” trend (as this HS trend 15 years ago) for the ncaa and nba teams. Players are not being developped correctly. There is still always too much hype on players whi don’t deserve it and teams are playing poorly.

This is ridiculous. Players have, what? 40 games at max during one college season. They probably have well over 100 practices and countless other scrimmages between early summer and when the season even starts. What’s going to make you better? Practicing against some scrub 3-star or practicing against somebody like James Young and Marcus Lee if you are Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle?

This was the exact model for the HS straight to the NBA players like Jermaine Oneal, etc. They developed even though they saw virtually no playing time their first few seasons.

And yes, I’m talkin’ bout practice.

Highly touted high-school recruits joining a program together to make a “super team” is starting to get really old. I understand that they want to cram in as much success as they can in one year along with being a high draft pick but it really skews the degree of success that Kentucky has been enjoying.

Having said that, you’ll know who really has lottery talent after facing this upcoming crop.

Good get, but he shoulda went to Florida. He would of shined more, with all those recruits hes gonna be more team oriented instead of dominating with maybe 2 others. For him personally he would of killed with Kasey Hill and Walker.. Or Kansas with Seldon and their guard play. But its cool he wants to win ball games. I hate how Coach Cal yells like crazy at his players. These kids dont know what theyre in for, if they dont listen, then this season will become next season again. Cal said he needs to coach kids thats coachable… We will see

Duke will have a legitimate chance to beat them, with Cook, Suliamon, Rod Hood, Parker, and Thornton and Matt Jones coming off the bench.

UK will have a huge advantage down low, I don’t see Duke beating them.

I dont agree Y2G I think Duke could beat them but on the other hand I do see how Plumlee3 plays in more minutes having a bigger impact on their season than people think..problem is I dont see him as being close to where his brothers were by their sophmore seasons.

I mean I’m not saying it’s impossible. I just think UK wins that game more often then not. I don’t see anyone guarding Randle.

This has no affect on Wiggins. wiggins would start at the 3 and get plenty of minutes.
