Leonard WashingtonParticipantDoes anybody agree with him getting recognition for the pre-season player of the yr for the Big Ten for the past two years? I’ve never been really high on this guy and I truthfully think their are many other players in this conference that should have gotten consideration above him. Any idea’s on who will win player of the year in the Big Ten?

ilike.panochasParticipantStats doesnt show how valuable he is for Michigan St. He wont win Big 10 Player of the Year, but he does deserve some consideration specially with the lack of good PG in that conference.
As far as the early favorite for Big 10 Player of the Year, Jarred Sullinger is off to a hot start and I think he will make the same impact as Kevin Love did in Pac-10 as a freshman. I think Sullinger will win it.

midwestbbscoutParticipantSullinger is the best freshman in the country…..and Lucas is gonna have a hard time coming back from that injury…..I think the fact that his team got to the final 4 pretty much without him proved he’s not as valuable to his team as people thought…..

Adi JosephI’m not sure why Kalin Lucas won it or why JaJuan Johnson was a first-team all-American.
Jared Sullinger is the best player in the Big Ten, and E’Twaun Moore is probably Purdue’s best player.
Michigan State is too balanced to produce a player of the year.
My preseason ballot would look like:
1. Sullinger
2. Jon Leuer
3. Moore
4. Johnson
5. Demetri McCamey
