Dhph8711ParticipantHow good can Andrew Wiggins & Wayne Selden as a DUO next year and how far Kansas can go next year????

ASAP HenryParticipantWayne Selden is being slept on. Super pumped to see him play next year. Wiggins will draw a lot of attention which will allow Selden to flourish. I think I feel the same way about Wiggins as everyone else on this website does. He’s the best prospect since Kevin Durant imo, and will have a big freshman season. I don’t like to make predictions on how a team will do because college basketball can be so crazy, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Kansas in the contention again for the Big 12 title as well as making a run in the NCAA tournament. And please believe if Kansas does make a run, Wiggins and Selden will play a big role in it

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI see Wiggins not quite living up to the expectations everyone has of him being a 20ppg+ scorer, settling into more of a 15-16 ppg, while Selden excels and blows people away with his polished offensive game and ends up scoring more then Wiggins. Combined, I think they’ll be among the many great 1-2 punches next season in college ball, Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary, Jabari Parker and Rasheed Sulaimon, Andrew Harrison and Julius Randle, not to mention all the other great combos Kentucky will have, Kasey Hill and Chris Walker. Needless to say, next season is going to be a great one for college fans.

Toronto16ParticipantKansas will definitely be booking a trip to the final four. They have too much talent not to. But according to Kuran Iverson, they are going to lose to Memphis anyway. *rolling eyes*

Stevenim a HUGE fan of wayne selden. ive seen him in a few prep tournaments in the new england area. he is the real-deal and is definitely being slept on. with that being said, i am also with HGB on wiggins. hes not going to be as great as some people have already touted him to be. hes going to be really good, but not great. not going to have an impact durant or beasley had. NOW, with THAT being said i think they will be a force. a great team because i feel all the players compliment eachother well.

FreelanceScoutParticipantHuge fan of Wayne Selden, for he was the most impressive player in the Mcdonald’s all american game.
Don’t sleep on Brannen Greene, his game reminds me of Klay Thompson.

TRC1991ParticipantWiggins and Selden are going to be this year’s version of K State’s Michael Beasley and Bill Walker
(obviously I think wiggins and selden are better prospects but the production will be similar)

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantWiggins will not put up Beasley Numbers. He doesn’t have the consistent range on his jumper nor the mismatch of having the size to play center while being a small forward and having slower big men guarding him. Selden is one of my favorite players but he needs to get a consistent jumper or players will back off of him and play him for his drive

Sewok15ParticipantI would say 26 and 12 is out of the question but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up about 20 and 8 for the season. Wiggins and Selden together should combine to average at least 35….if you can get 35 from the other 10 guys combined they should be pretty good. I would slow down on the final 4 predictions though because there are a lot of tough teams returning. OK St will be no slouch and will challenge them in the Big 12. We all know Kentucky is loaded and considered the early favorite to win it all.
St. Louis, UCONN, Memphis, Wichita State, OSU, Florida, Michigan, Arizona, Duke, Michigan St, and the defending champs Louisville all have a good shot to compete for a Final Four in my mind. It should definitely be one of the best years in recent NCAA basketball.

TYOParticipantAs a Kansas fan..I expect around 16/6 for Wiggins which would be great. It blows my mind to see people projecting him to average around 22-25 PPG next year. I expect around 12/4 from Wayne which would be great.

Sewok15ParticipantBen McLemore scored 16 a game as a freshmen on a better KU team. Ben is a better shooter than Wiggins but that is where it stops. Wiggins has a better arsenal of offensive moves and appears to have the assertiveness that McLemore lacks. I am not one of these people saying Wiggins is the next LeBron but I expect him to put up around 20 a game.
If Selden and Wiggins don’t combine for over 30 points a game like you expect…I would expect a long season in Lawrence.

TYOParticipantWiggins doesn’t have an arsenal of “moves”. He has a good spin move, decent jump shot & a floater. The guy only averaged 23 points in HS & people are expecting him to average 20 a game in college?

Sewok15ParticipantHe could have scored a lot more than that if he wanted to which was evident by his 57 point game. His team was blowing up most teams they played so he didn’t have to dominate or play huge minutes. I understand he had some bad games and they lost but I think he could have easily averaged over 30 a game if he wanted to. Having Selden will take some pressure off of him and he will also get a lot of points on the offensive glass. Maybe I should have said he can score in a variety of ways instead of saying he has an arsenal of moves. He might not average 20 a game but I would expect him to be closer to 20 than 16.

Sewok15ParticipantAdams and Muhammad averaged 32.9 as a freshmen duo at UCLA last year and if Kansas wants to keep their big 12 title streak going they will need to at least match that type of production.

TYOParticipantI’d be ecstatic if Wayne/Andrew combined for those numbers. Hopefully it happens. It’d be great for the team.
