Everyone has their NBA players that are in the league that may not be more than what they are in their roles. Which players do you refuse to give up on no matter how bad they are doing?

    • Shaun Livingston- I really believe that if he never had that freak injury, he would be a Top 5 PG in the league. I was hoping he got traded to Portland or Phoenix to become the future starting PG.
    • Boobie Gibson- I don’t know what it is about this guy, but I like dude although he has nothing to his game to show he is legit.
    • DeShawn Stevenson- I’ve like him from Day 1 when I seen him in the Mickey D’s Game. I know he will never be more than what he is, but I refuse to give up on his career.
    • Charlie Villanueva- He is a big underachiever who I thought would stay in Toronto. If he would have stayed in Toronto he would have still been the man.
    • Terrence Williams- I think he is getting treated fairly wrong in Houston. Dude can ball I just don’t know why he is not getting the burn.
    • Brandon Rush- I’m still thinking he has that "Best" on ball defender in him, but he is lazy in my mind.
    • Lance Stephenson- I know this is a hope & a prayer, but I pray he gets a mentor to get this guy on track. NFL guys got Deion to turn to, but what about the NBA guys?
    • Willie Warren- Biggest mistake I’ve seen as far as staying in school. Dude was considered a Lotto pick after his Fr. season. Why stay? He had nothing to prove.
    • Sebastian Telfair- I don’t care that he is a career journeyman, but if he still has a job he is doing something right. I’m deeply disappointed, but he knows his role.
    • Brandan Wright- I believe all he needs is a chance & to get in the weight room to bulk up.
    • Bill Walker- I knew once he got those knee injuries he would elevate his game to stick around, but damn he is shocking all by shooting 40% from the 3.
    • Daequan Cook- Will be nothing more than a contending team Steve Kerr. Dude was a slasher in HS & college, but just gave up to rely on the 3 ball. He is really better than advertised.
    • Thaddeus Young- Iggy is what’s holding him back. Can be a Top legitimate SF in the league. Everyone like to point out his weaknesses, but his strengths outweighs the bad. Philly is doing his career no justice.
    • Donte Greene- Alright now, it is really time for a new change of scenery. He is in his 3rd year & still has not permanetly cracked the starting 5.
    • Jerryd Bayless- My fav player on this list. He has the potential to be where Rose & Westbrook is at right now & I know it is killing him. I love love love Bayless’ game, but the only thing I hate is when he settles for too many jump shots rather then attack the basket. He has a nice stroke, but even if he is off he will still fire it up. Very very underrated athlete as well, he has a lot of bounce but you would never know unless you seen highlight clips from HS. I was upset when he got traded to the Blazers, because they did not give him the opportunity to run the team. I feel as though he would have been a better fit in the Pacers system after I took notice of him not getting burn. Hopefully Toronto will be his permanent home, when or if they decide to get rid of Calderon. If Toronto so happens to get the #1 pick which may end up being Kyrie Irving, Bayless can kiss those dreams of becoming the full-time starter goodbye.

Yeah, Bayless is juicy. Donte Green never looked good to me. Just a tall guy on the wing.

Livington still looks to have a solid career though even after injuries.  Terence Williams has a lot of talent and some team will get it out of him.  Maybe he gets moved to Toronto or Kings where he can get minutes and start.

Not that this guy is having a bad season, but I am still waiting for Rodrigue Beabois to fully show what he can do when his time comes. Ton of potential.

Does anybody else notice that Bayless looks less athletic then he used too. In Portland, they guy had HOPS, but I’ve noticed that he has significantly slowed down this year compared to when he played for Portland. Probably because he started the season injured. Earlier in the year, when he had a breakaway dunk attempt, it looked like he had no confidence and completely botched it.

im still waiting for james johnson, man. I loved his game in college super versatile way to powerful for small forwards to guard and could stroke the 3 and drive past the power forwards…i thought he was gonna be a 12, 6, and 2 guy by this point in his career

If Rick Aldeman leaves the Rockets, T-Will will get playing time.
I really want him to get playing time, Rick is just so stubborn man.
He rather play Mike Harris before Terrence Williams.

I still have hope for Bassy, Bayless, Livingston, and Greene as well.

Jerryd Bayless has loads of potential just has to find the right team. He is more of a combo guard but is just as athletic as Rose/Westbrook/Wall. He probably shoots better than all of them too.

Bayless would do wonders in Phoenix, Golden State, New York and Dallas

Im pretty sure we can all consider Jerryd Bayless the long term starter of this Toronto Raptors team. There is no doubt in my mind he will start next year (unless Toronto drafts Irving).

I would like to make a correction to your post Memphis.  Bad coaching is what held back Thad Young for the first few years.  Collins has learned how to get Thad into positions that are beneficial to him and he has improved by leaps and bounds.
