juicejc1ParticipantAm I the only one that thinks he reminds them of a better passing Marcus Williams (UCONN)

JunkYardDogParticipanthe has a better shooting touch (and even more potential in the 3pts area) and he is more focused on bball… 😉
better pure pg skills for marshall thanks to his superior BBIQ.
I think marshall is a very underrated pg who will be very successfull in the nba.

iguapops420ParticipantHis vision is FAR better than Marcus’ was. As is his creativity. Marcus was able to drop dimes, but he wasn’t as good as Mrshall asa passer, no metter what the numbers elude to.

river09ParticipantDefinitely reminds me of the current jason kidd… which is awesome. finally a legit pg in the draft that isn’t touted as some ridiculous athlete or someone that can put up a billion points and jump over a large barn. just a steady smart PG with range so he can spread the floor and get the ball into the right players hands in the right time…. he’ll be around for awhile.

JoeWolf1Kinda, but Marcus Williams is a pretty bad athlete. Not very fast, can’t jump, a little pudgy. I get where you the comparison is coming form with his vision and passing ability, but I think Marshall’s ceiling is much higher because he is at least an above average athlete and about 20lbs of fat lighter.

iguapops420ParticipantMarshall is by no means an above average athlete. Poor speed/quicks and no vert. Not to mention his jumper isnt the best either.

ilike.panochasParticipantHe reminds me of Mark Jackson. Size and what both brings to the court (floor general, passing). It remains to be seen if he can survive in the NBA with lack of quickness and speed like Mark Jackson did.

JoeWolf1@iguapops420, but he’s not fat and maybe above average is pushing it, maybe average is more accurate, but he can at least dunk. It’s not like he has no vert, he’s just a small past first guard so it’s not like he’s gonna drive the lane and jam it over someone.

JNixonParticipantThat Mark Jackson comparison is good to me. He’s a big PG who has amazing passing skills. He really can throw dimes and he’s a very saavy playmaker. I do agree he’s a below average athlete and scorer/shooter, but really can run a team and his passing skills are on another level. I think he’s a better athlete and passer than Williams, with better physical tools.

iguapops420ParticipantHe’s not Kidd. The Jackson compasrioson is decent. I liken him to Shaun Livingston personally. But either works for me. Maybe Jason Kidd NOW, but not the Kidd we all remember from his prime.

JoeJoParticipantHe’s not a good comparison to the current version of Kidd either. The current J-Kidd is still a plus defender at off guard and a great overall help defender with hands that are still lightning fast. When I think of Marshall, I don’t think of defense or fast hands. The thing he does share with Kidd is the willingness to throw the ball ahead at all times.
I really like watching Marshall play. When he has a good game of low turnovers, he’s very fun to watch with his unselfishness and creativity. One thing he needs to work on is dealing with ball pressure. Teams that had points who could press gave him a lot of trouble.

bswervesParticipantKendall might not be a John Wall or D-Rose type of athlete. But hes quicker than alot of people want to give him credit for. He can get into the lane when he wants to using his BBall IQ and overall craftiness. But I agree with others, the reason he will be in the NBA for a long time is because he drops some serious, serious dimes. With Barnes’ emergence and all the legit first round NBA talent he will have him around him next year, he is going to have some incredible assist numbers
