best "Big Three" in team history?

    Alex Poythress = Carmelo Anthony

    Archie Goodwin = Monta Ellis

Nerlens Noel = Joakim Noah meets Serge Ibaka

    discuss…

Nerlens is nothing like Joakin Noah. Noah has a high basketball IQ, excellent passer to go along with a relentless motor.

so far Noel looks even more than excellent passer, he might be the best playmaker on thah UK team..

overall im surprised with his versatility even defensivelly I knew he was great but still 3.3 steals per game over first 4 games is something pretty sensational

While i agree that Nerlens is a good passer, there is no way he’s a better playmaker than Goodwin.

Goodwin is the one that gets the Wade comparison in this class. Not Rodney Purvis, not Marcus Smart.

        Anyone saw last UK game?

the only one i kinda agree with is the noel one. yet noel is way more athletic than both ibaka and noah. poythress is nothing like carmelo, and never will be and archie good win is not like monte. monte is explosive and smooth scorer, and does not play completly out of control. and poythress like carmelo, just NO. HORRIBLE COMPARISON!!!!!!!!!

    I’d rank them behind…

Wall, Cousins and Bledsoe – talent level

Davis, MKG, Teague – 1,2 in the draft + an NCAA title

and above Kanter, Knight and Jones – all upside at this point, have proven very little in the NBA.

Also, Noel reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler, more than anyone.  Like Chandler, I think it’s going to be a few years and a few pounds of muscle before he is defensive force at the next level.  The way he moves on the court, finishes lobs and alters shots is almost a spitting image of how Chandler played in HS.

If Noel leaves after this season, I think it’s his 3rd season where he starts to put it together.

That being said, I think Kanter is on the verge of becoming a double double player, if he were on Orlando instead of Vucuvic, I think he’d be having a better year. It may be until his 3rd or 4th season until he breaks out.
