magmo68Participant…If KG is seriously hurt i think the Celtics should trade him, maybe A. Blatche, 1st and fillers? Blatche might fit in well in Boston…

iguapops420ParticipantAgreed. I’ve been a big fan of Dray’ since i first saw him tear up the Jordan Brand Classic in high school. Extremely skilled, but having said that, his attitude would absolutely not work with that club. His immaturity just would not be accepted by doc nor the rest of the C’s vets.

JoeWolf1No way, he is a big part of that team identity even if he’s cheering on the bench. Save him for the playoffs, and let the vet do his thing. Trading away a veteran team leader for a young guy with upside is what you do when you’re rebuilding, NOT when you’re making a title run.

magmo68ParticipantI put a trade together that would work for both teams i think
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2fma77g
* Boston would get 1st rounder from Wash.

JoeWolf1What good would and aging injured KG do for Washington? You really think they’d be willing to ship out Hinrich, Blatche and Howard and a 1st rounder for Avery Bradley and a guy who’s gonna retire in a year or two???

magmo68ParticipantI was thinking about it from a team thats rebilding standpoint…Im a 32 y/o Laker fan, i was looking at it like if KG’s career is over because of his knee injury, the Celtics would try to get somthing for his contract, and the Wiz are rebuilding and want to get rid of Blatche and get some cap space?

WizardofOzParticipantNo way the C’s trade KG for Blatche. KG is still one of the anchors of this team, and I don’t think the C’s are interested in trading, but I have to know the seriousness of the injury before I make a judgement. Blatche is very skilled, and has drawn comparisons to a young KG, but with his bad attitude, he would be a TERRIBLE fir for the Celtics.
And why would the Wizards want KG? He a 34-years-old aging star that is injured. Why would you trade a 24-year-old with potential for him. There have been some rumors about the Wizards wanting to trade Blatche, but they won’t trade him for KG.

mgreener_34Participant"haha, I just assumed a 14 year old Celtics fan"
Even a 14 year old can tell that KG is the heart and soul of the Celtics. The Big three will all retire Celtics. Get healthy KG, this one reminds me to much of the injury that had him out most of 08.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’d be shocked if this injury was as serious as the knee injury in 2008. He had a strained knee, plus a bone spur. This injury isn’t even involving the knee.
He’ll miss a week or two.

SteroidParticipantThere is no way KG is leaving the Celtics. It would jeopardize the chemisty of this team.

Da1potParticipantThe Celtics have Big Baby, both O’Neals, Kendrick Perkins, Semih Erden and possibly even Luke Harangody as options to receive extended minutes now…. The Celtics should be fine and should just rest him for another deep playoff run. I’m trying to get Big Baby in my fantasy league now…… He should put up some decent numbers

IknoBall12Participanti agree about blatche being a terrible fit in boston. but wat do u think of joakim noah? i think he could bring some of that defensive presence and rebounding to that team. Now obviously the offensive game is nowhere near the same. but just a thought

iguapops420Participant^^^There are about 4 players in the entire league i think Chicago would TRUELY trade Noah for in the L. KG MOST CERTAINLY not being one of them.

jsev24Participantno way boston will trade KG for Blatche. KG is Boston’s defensive anchor, and has been consistent in scoring and rebounding this year. Even with an injury, KG will always be the heart of the Celtics, no way they would trade him to an immature, inconsistent and average defender.

balla619ParticipantThis trade won’t happen and doesn’t make sense for the Wizards.
I can see the Celtics using Blatche as a scorer they definately need another one in the front court.
Still KG should be okay enough for another long run in the playoffs.
